Steinway Street is known as the Arab Street in New York located in Astoria, Queens, with a focus on Middle Eastern markets and cafes, the street where the first Egyptian restaurant opened in the area fifteen years ago.
The Egyptian Coffee House and the Arab Center also joined the Coffee House (with large-screen TVs that present the latest Arabic news and entertainment) and was followed by an Arab newspaper, video magazine for Lebanese shops and restaurants (Rousha Street), Jordanian pastry shop (delicious), restaurant Halal Chinese (Panda Queen), Sicilian Espresso (for table games and large TV screen showing the latest news and entertainment), a handful of other restaurants, Islamic libraries and Arab markets that offer the most delicious food items at a fraction of Manhattan prices.
And there are a small number of barbershops and hair salons.
About eight years ago, Masjid Al-Iman, which draws Muslims from the local Middle East and North Africa, Indonesia, and communities of Puerto Rico, opened. They are, along with Sicilian and Arab men and women, having coffee in New York City.
Interesting about this area for Middle East foods. As you see in culture and traditions – which you can taste with your sense of the promised hospitality places in the Middle East.
