Aba, meaning father in Hebrew, is a Mediterranean restaurant with a California influence. The menu features Chef CJ Jacobsonโs modern approach to Mediterranean cooking and the beverage program showcases spirits and rare wines from lesser known Mediterranean regions.

2 weeks agoOne of my fabulous restaurants in SOCO, Austin! Great ambiance, excellent food and drinks, impeccable service! The salads are fresh and flavorful! This place can get very busy so make reservations. I prefer sitting outside under the tree- the lights are magical, the garden is nice. It is expensive though but totally worth it!

2 months agoAba is a casual Mediterranean restaurant bar with a California vibe that seems to attract all the "cool kids." If you expect Mediterranean food to be light and refreshing, then you will enjoy the food here. I don't know how "authentic" it is, but it's what I imagine "authentic Mediterranean" food to be like. The vibe of this place matches the food, which is light and refreshing. Sprinkle on a cocktail or two; you're guaranteed a light and refreshing experience, at least until the check comes. This chain of restaurants is expanding slowly to trendy areas of major cities, so you may see them pop up in another trendy area soon. I look forward to another visit, but with a reservation..

a week agoIโve been wanting to dine at this restaurant for the longest time, and I finally had the chance to visit during my trip back to Austin. The restaurant is absolutely stunning, with a beautiful atmosphere that perfectly complements the outstanding food. Itโs located on Congress Street, in a charming shopping area filled with cute shops and boutiquesโdefinitely a spot where most people prefer to walk, so Iโd recommend taking an Uber if youโre heading there. Making a reservation is a must since theyโre always booked. We were told the wait would be an hour, but we were pleasantly surprised when our table was ready in just 30 minutes. The food was absolutely amazing, and the service was outstanding as well. We started with the Spicy Lamb Ragu, which was delicious, though I didnโt get a chance to snap a picture. For the main course, I had the grilled salmon kebab, which came highly recommended, and I was extremely happy with my choice. This is a very upscale restaurant with a unique menu, and I will definitely be back. They have a spacious patio and an outdoor bar, making it a must-visit spot in Austin, TX.

2 months ago**Aba Austin Review** Aba Austin is a nice, fancy spot nestled in a lush green atmosphere, making it a great escape from the city hustle. The ambiance is charming, with beautiful greenery enhancing the dining experience. The restaurant offers a small but thoughtfully selected menu. Each dish is crafted with care, showcasing a blend of unique flavors and high-quality ingredients. While the menu may be limited, the choices are curated to ensure a satisfying culinary journey. The service is commendable, with attentive and friendly staff ensuring a pleasant dining experience. They are knowledgeable about the menu and eager to make recommendations. However, be prepared for the fancy prices, which reflect the upscale setting and quality of the offerings. Despite the cost, Aba Austin is worth a visit for casual dining in a sophisticated environment. Give it a try for a memorable meal in a beautiful setting.
