Dr. Asmar received his M.D. degree at Kaunas Medical University in Kaunas, Lithuania. He did his residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, where he was named Chief Resident. He received his fellowship training in Clinical Nephrology at the University of Florida.

5 years agoI have seen Dr, Asmar a couple of times for a weak kidney condition (CKD) this year. He was very thorough, did take time to explain the best approach to handle my condition, and reviewed my current lab report with me. When he sensed my heightened concerns about my condition , he took time to reassure me that I will be OK. Advised not to get on a extreme diet, but to use common sense, and moderation of meat products (protein) in general. He also offered that I could call him with any follow up questions I may have before my next appointment scheduled in 4 months. Dr.Asmar is a caring, knowledgeable physician, best of the best.

5 years agoVery glad I found Dr. Asmar. He was able to put my mind at ease. He took my test results and put them in perspective and did not make me feel like there was no hope.
