in the last weekI recently tried Adelโs Famous Halal Food and ordered the combo platterโwhat a treat! The portion was generous, the flavors were perfectly balanced, and the quality was outstanding. The meat was tender and seasoned to perfection, paired with fragrant rice and fresh vegetables. Their signature white sauce took the dish to the next level, and the hot sauce added just the right amount of heat without overpowering the flavors. Service was quick and friendly, even during the busy rush. This is hands-down some of the best street food Iโve had in New York. Iโll definitely be coming back for more. Highly recommended!

a week agoMy friend recommended this insanely famous NYC Halal cart, and I had to try it! Other than the fact that it is winter and cold, there was still a waiting queue to get food here, and the hype is real..it was worth the wait! I had chicken over rice with regular rice and hot sauce on the side. Absolutely recommended it!

3 months agoAlright.. Abel's is def the best Halal truck in the area. Lines are definitely long and will continue to grow long. BUT we wanna hear about the food right?? Food is good.. it's very fresh and everything is cooked really well. Your choices? -lamb -chicken OR combo - spicy rice (red) - regular rice (yellow) Fries are optional (get the fries!) Paired w/ a little bit of shredded lettuce and slices of pita bread. ****GET THE SAUCE ON THE SIDE!!!**** -esp if you want to eat it later Red sauce is good but spicy..and it's not a mild spice. ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ Green sauce is good and is what's going to balance the flavors. The white sauce is literally just ranch. * the sauces go well together but if you get the sauce on the side then at least you can adjust it yourself. All in all, if you don't mind standing; it's definitely worth a try. They accept cash and cards. - Around $12/plate after taxes.

3 months agoThe debate lately has been if this is the best halal food in the city. I have been eating the halal guys since 2004 and always loved it but that place has clearly deteriorated. So got a chance today to try this out. Even at abt 11:45 on a Tuesday night, the wait was an hour. I ordered chicken n gyro over rice. Right off the bat, chicken is well seasoned, gyro and rice is flavorful. Top it off with white n hot sauce, u have a dynamite combo. YES, this place is far superior to the halal guys. Go here tonight but be ready to wait a minimum of an hour.

3 months agoI visited on Friday and was greeted with an hour-long line, which Iโd heard is common. Despite the wait, the experience was absolutely worth it. I ordered the falafel over spicy rice, and it did not disappoint. The flavors were vibrant, and the portion was generousโdefinitely one of the best bowls Iโve ever had. If you have the time to wait, this place is well worth it for an exceptional meal!
