2 weeks agoStaff are amazing. Great people , great care. Highly recommend. Expect the ER. Some Lady named Maria could have cared less about my childโs asthma attack. When told the clinical manager, she too did not care. Very bad ED etiquette. They even laughed outside my room. As I prayed before surgery. They gossip about you all night long & could care less about your ED chief complaint

a month agoPLEASE READ!!! really donโt know where to start. This has literally ended up becoming a nightmare, and at this point, Iโm very concerned for my health & it doesnโt seem like Iโll be able to receive the care I think I need at this facility. And forgive me for the long story, but ppl need to know to save their money & time and can receive better and more prompt help elsewhere. 1. My appointment was originally scheduled for 2:30pm, they called to retrieve payment, I had to pay ($3000) before I went to go see the doctor. When they called me, they told me my time got moved up an hour (moved up to 1:30pm), so I needed to be there by 11:45, They never sent me a confirmation on what time to be there EVER by they way, but anywho at that moment I felt like that was a good thing. Little did I know they were going to change my time right back to 2:30pm without telling me. So I got there an hour early, No biggie, just one hour right? Wrongโฆ my appt was at 2:30, I wasnโt seen until 6:30pm. I got there at 10:45am and was not discharged until 9:00pm, for a procedure they assured me wouldnโt take longer than 1-2 hours. I literally didnโt eat or drink for 24 actual hours, simply because the doctor was not on time, 4 hours late to calling me, and apparently they have JUST 1 DR working on all the patients, in that HUGE hospital. Go figure. 2. They put an IV in my arm, and I have no idea what they did, but it was killing my arm& I mean excruciatingly. I was trying to tell them it hurt, they said it was my fault somehow and that my vein popped and they put it in a different spot that was just as painful, and told me that it doesnโt hurt bad, itโs only for a moment and me saying it hurts bad was embarrassing, I thought I was supposed to make the physician aware if something is uncomfortable. Oddly enough the nurse that told me that was the most helpful one! And just to say, that was @ like 3:00pm and I didnโt get seen for 3 & 1/2 more hours, so that thing was just in my arm bothering me the entire time, literally send radiating pain up and down my arm, & @ 4:30 I asked how long u til the doctor sees me after itโs already 2 hours past my appointment time, she said 60 minutes, and there I was waiting for 2 more additional hours! 3. When I finally got called back at 6:30, the anesthesiologist was even confused and saying โhis arm shouldnโt hurtโ so he switched it to my left arm, & literally no pain. 4. This was my first time having a cystoscopy & fulguration, & Iโm very unfamiliar with what to expect. They literally gave me a number I could call at any time if Iโm experiencing any problems or have any questions. I called that number, & the doctor that saw me was apparently trying to sleep, & told me to call back in the morningโฆ.. to call back in the morning! I literally had to go to another emergency room, but they in the end couldnโt help me (the Adventist ER in ft Washington) so Iโm just at home dealing with the pain and hoping for the best after what I just saw trying to use the bathroom! I truly can continue, but this review is getting so long, it might be impossible to read this far. This was the most unprofessional facility Iโve ever been too, the most distasteful approach and handling of situations, no communication, Iโm not even sure if my sheets were clean because I saw what looked eerily similar to dry blood on it and it definitely wasnโt mine! Covid -19 is still a thing as well. It is currently 3:59am 10/15/24, I havenโt eaten since 10/13/24 at 6:00pm as I couldnโt in order to prepare for the procedure, literally didnโt drink anything at all for 27 hours, this is truly the most outrageous thing Iโve ever encountered. This is truly becoming a nightmare. Maybe itโs my mind playing tricks on me because I dont know what to expect, but if I was able to have a simple chat with someone for 5 minutes, I would feel better, but I was told to call back in the morning bcuz the dr is sleep, which i get it, he was busy all day being the only doctor PERIOD, so its is no one else seemingly that can help you. Iโve been in tears since I left.

a month agoI went to this hospital twice to figure out what was wrong with me because I have been very sick for at least two week. Both times I went the doctors could not tell me what was wrong with me and they did not know. But the first time I went I was given medicine and a IV but no antibiotics or steroids the doctor told me that my body was just going to have to fight it off itself. The second time I went I had a white male doctor who literally told me if the first doctor couldnโt figure out what was wrong neither can he. He didnโt even me any medication to help me while I was there and the nurses and staff were just so incompetent and inconsiderate. He literally had no supplies already set up in the room. No gloves, no light, no popsicle stick to look at my tongue nothing. I just wanted my time in pain for hours for nothing. Then it took them an hour to discharge me I had to walk out in order to get my discharge papers. Last night I was in so much pain I went all the way to the hospital in largo and they helped me out tremendously. The wait was a while but once I saw the doctor he helped me out so much. He was so shocked when I told him I went twice to this hospital and they didnโt provide me with any antibiotics nor did they diagnose me. They even gave me a throat scan to determine what was wrong. I also didnโt feel rushed out of the room. At Adventist they are quick to rush you out before your IV is even finished. Or before they even discharge you, they put you back in the waiting room. If you care about your health do not do here. Go to the hospital in largo. See my doctor Elias Lakew heโs a sweetheart and very smart and capable of his job. Whatโs the point of being a doctor if you arenโt using your degree or knowledge to help others. Adventist white male doctors are lazy!!! They just want your money!

2 weeks agoMy sister was admitted to the ED. Mrs. Toni was very helpful, attentive, and got straight to the point in helping us. Her loving attitude and sympathy made our visit truly one to remember. We love you Ms. Toni.

a month agoI called the number provided on google to speak with a Rep and I asked the number to the primary care office. The Rep said I was rude for typing the number in my phone which I immediately stopped because I did not have anything to write with and I did not know it would echo into her line. After repeating the number to the Rep, she immediately hung up the phone. She did not ask me โis there anything else I can help you with today?โ as scripted for a rep to ask a customer. I too worked as a customer service representative, so I know how that goes. I then called back and let her know she was rude to hang up on me without even knowing if I had any other concerns or questions. She yelled in the phone โ Mโam is there anything I can help you with?โ I continued to let her know she was rude and she needed to apologize. In no way shape or form did she ever apologize after being hung up on 3 times and calling back. She sounds like an older lady who is ready to get off work, but that does not give you the right to be rude to a CUSTOMER on a recorded line in which you represent your job!
