Afandina Cafe

Louie (manager of Afandina) is one of the most thoughtful and generous people I’ve met. My husband and I planned our wedding & reception in less than four months due to an important person in our lives having stage IV cancer, so we got incredibly lucky that Louie was so willing to work with us and plan a dinner for 180 guests with relatively short turnaround time. He took the time to get to know us and gave us the gift of getting to know him and his family (who are incredibly kind). He went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I had everything we needed for our wedding reception dinner, and was so supportive of the two of us and happy for our upcoming wedding. After confirming that the food was going to be for a wedding reception and noting that we didn’t have any dessert planned for our reception yet, Louie insisted that he was going to make us his own Baklava recipe (with pistachios) for the dessert as a gift from him to us. My whole family agreed it is the best baklava we’ve ever had. ☺️ I highly recommend the pistachio baklava to anyone who visits Afandina! Everything Louie prepared was so, so good and our guests and family really enjoyed it (and many commented that they’d not had such interesting/fun food at a wedding reception before). Louie prepared a generous amount of food for us based on the headcount we gave him, and for months we’ve been enjoying the leftovers that we froze. (We went and bought another small freezer two days after we got married because we had so much leftover food and wanted to have a place to keep it). My husband was very sad the day we finished the last bag of leftover chicken shawarma (months after the reception). I am incredibly grateful that we found Afandina and Louie.

I loved this restaurant. They have excellent clean interior 👌. All the foods were delicious and the serving sizes were fair enough based on the low prices. I will highly recommend it.

This place is huge! Very beautifully decorated space. It was virtually empty during my visit so not sure how busy they get. Tasty food and large portions. They were out of Baklava which was disappointing. I hope to check out the patio during my next visit.

The patio was very nice. The food I got was good but they had no French fries and I was there for lunch so that seemed strange. The baklava was fantastic! However there was absolutely no other person dining there. I found that sort of unnerving. I ate on the patio and there was no one who came nor no one eating in the dinning room when I left.

The beef and chicken shawarma were amazing. The vibe was really nice
