35 years ago, Ahmed opened his first Greek food cart at the corner of 55th Street and 3rd Avenue in Manhattan. 26 years later, he switched to Halal food and opened a second location just one block over, at 56th Street. His Halal food carts serve some of the best street food in NYC!
Ahmed loves what he does and is always thrilled to see familiar faces. To Ahmed, food is love, customers are friends, and friends are family.

10 months agoThe Ahmed falafel cart exceeded my expectations. The flavors were rich, the portions generous, and the service was quick. A go-to spot for delicious and satisfying halal fare!

a year agoI go here at least once a week and always order the lamb over rice (or chicken over rice) and it always SLAPS. Each rice combo is $8 and for a quick meal, this easily fills you up and satisfies your hunger. Ahmed is also very friendly and generous with the sauces and condiments. Note: cash only!!
