a year agoWe had a terrible experience with Dr. Zakari. My dad passed away on August 15, 2022. He was the oncologist doctor in charge of my dad at Orlando AdventHealth. We communicated with Dr. Zakari maybe 3 times in the entire month that my dad spent in the hospital. There were changes in his treatments that he never communicated to us or gave us reasons for. We had to gather information from other doctors or nurses from the chemotherapy treatment that was supposed to be Dr. Zakari's responsibility. After my dad was sent to the ICU, he never visited him, even though we requested a meeting with him. We will be sending this in writing as well to the hospital. In the meantime, I want to make sure people know what to expect from this doctor. We are devastated for the loss of my father and we will always wonder what would have happened if we would have had the opportunity to discuss options with the doctor.

2 years agoMy husband was a patient of Dr. Zakari. He always assured us that there was several different treatments that could help him. On July 7 he went into the hospital and Dr. Zakari never visited him. On July 20,they put him in hospice and he passed away on July 24th, 2022. They had just told us the cancer was stable and not spreading. So why did Hospice kill him?

4 years agoHe has been very passionate about my diagnosis and my care since day 1 at the hospital. His staff is very professional and knowledgeable. Katherine has been my nurse and she gets back to me very quickly when I'm in pain. Very accommodating and it's so appreciated during my care and my journey. Means so much!

4 years agoDr. Zakari is very knowledgeable and professional. He is also very kind and explains things in something other than medical terms. I believe my husband is receiving excellent care. His assistant, Jamie, is wonderful. She is also extremely knowledgeable and answers questions well. I appreciate so much the care that they give to my husband.
