a week agoFirst time at this place, 1000% times recommended. Amazing authentic afghan food, Great spot. Very pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend. Best in Chicago. Will come back soon with family.

2 months agoIt was the worst Afghani restaurant or Afghani food I had ever. No warm welcoming no hospitality culture. The chef is Mexican. The manager is Indian. They serve Afghani food. Thatโs the funny part. and theyโre so unprofessional as you can see as the picture.

3 months agoIโm saying this with the best intentions and hope for improvement: Please do better! The food was disappointingly bland and served in very small portions. I ordered the lamb palaw, and the rice was underwhelmingโjust some vermicelli, a few tiny caramelized raisins, and carrots. The lamb was disappointing as well. The Kaddu Borani appetizer I ordered was undercooked, and the chicken Karahi was served in a pan that looked unappetizing. The dish was filled with bones, as if the chicken had been crushed. The bread was cold and hard, and the place was swarming with flies. To make matters worse, the doors kept slamming like a prison. Itโs unfortunate because this place used to be much better.

8 months agoAmazing place to get food. They give really large portions for their price point. Food came out fresh and delicious. Only downside is that you have to pay for drinks - water is $1.50. Recommend getting the tea pot as they do refills on it and the mint tea is quite warming and delicious.
