8 years agoI have seen several pulmonologists through out the years. All of them told me If I didnt get a double lung and heart transplant I'd be dead in 4 years. They never took the time to explain about getting a transplant, how to get on the list..just kept shoving meds at me. Finally, I found a SINCERE, knowledgeable doctor who didnt treat me like "cattle running thru a shoot." Dr. Kawak listened to me..and never gave me an expiration date. He looked at my chart and noticed I was seriously over medicated. Made a few changes.. ordered a few test..made a few more changes.. The results are amazing. I actually have QUALITY of life.. I still need a transplant... but now I have a chance of surviving the surgery. Honestly, if you are suffering like I was and still do from time to time- what have you got to lose?

7 years agoDr. KAWAK is great but his front office has been horrible since whatever changes have been made to staffing. Return phone calls....HA!!!! They hardly answer the phone. Say that they will fax something and don't. Hence the two stars from me.
