I had ONE appointment for severe sciatic nerve pain. Rather than receiving an injection or nerve block to treat the pain, I was referred to physical therapy "to see if that would help". Of course, therapy did NOT help. Rather than waiting around indefinitely for Dr. Kabbara to treat me, I scheduled surgery with Dr. Dustin Donnelly to repair the sciatic issue that was causing the pain. Communication with Dr. Kabbara 's office has been terrible to non-existent. When they finally scheduled me for a procedure it was after many weeks of suffering and within only a week of my neurosurgery, too close to the sciatic surgery to be permitted. In short, my experience with Dr. Kabbara and his office has been frustrating and a waste of time. When I left the last message to cancel my appointment and complained about the poor communication with his office, Katie form Kabbara 's office called me back and scolded me saying that I had never left them any previous messages despite the fact that I had left several. Coincidentally, when you call Kabbara's office, his message says: "Please don't leave multiple messages at multiple numbers" because that only delays and confuses the office in responding. (Which, by the way, may be up to 48 hours for a return call). When I suggested that the reason people might be leaving multiple messages was because the office never responds, I was yelled at like I was stupid and/or crazy. Given the choice between dealing with Dr. Kabbara's office and dealing with my pain, I'll TAKE THE PAIN. Frankly, this is the FIRST poor experience that I have ever had at University Hospital. EVERY OTHER Doctor that has treated me has been a rock star. Those doctors include Dr. Charles Butrey (Family Medicine), Dr. Bill Stanfield (Orthopedics), Dr. Dustin Donnelly (Neurosurgery). If there are other options for pain management at UH, I strongly urge you to look around.

Dr. Kabara performed a kyphoplasty procedure on my father in February 2023. It was supposed to be a simple procedure. He injected the needle twice into the wrong location and released cement into my fatherโ€˜s spinal cord. My father had to have a seven hour surgery to try and scrape the cement out of his spinal cord, which would turn out to be unsuccessful. My father has been in an extreme amount of pain ever since the procedure. We have talked to many other doctors and have found that this procedure is supposed to be an easy one if you are watching your x-rays correctly. I hope some of you that are considering this procedure see this and steer clear of this man, he should not be allowed to practice. Also, take note university Hospital reviews are all five star. Donโ€™t be fooled by this, they are selectively choosing positive reviews.

I went after breaking my femur and heel. Was immediately diagnosed with CRPS and was told I needed a nerve block put in my back. Scheduled it almost 2 months out from original visit. I called because I was in a lot of pain and the gabapentin and ibuprofen are not helping the pain at all. Their advice was to quit smoking (I havenโ€™t smoked in 4 years). Then they came after me saying I had to be free of marijuana before they can prescribe anything( along with a drug test). Iโ€™ve never been made to feel like a crackhead more than this doctors office. P.S I can barely walk the amount of pain Iโ€™m in. I will be looking for a new doctor to assess my pain management.
