3 months agoI was in the hospital for five days four of them on the third floor and all I have to say is absolutely amazing experience through a stressful time. I was very well taken care of by the staff on the third floor. They showed an extreme Amount of empathy and were willing to go above and beyond to make my stay as pleasurable as possible. They Were on top of their jobs constantly with a bright smile on their faces every time they came in. Thank you ladies for all you did for me!!

2 months agoThey donโt care about the patients, couple minutes in the room with you and boom youโre out sitting in a recliner with the rest of the population thatโs sick. Worst place to go to, if itโs convenientโ choose your health and drive an hour further than convenience. This place sucks. Update: went to another ER because my throat was swelling shut. UH ER did a COVID test and wanted to do another strep test when I had one done a day before, said I had pharyngitis and sat me in the recliner. The rooms they put you in look like closets, the lights are automated and turn off so youโre sitting in a dark room โ not to mention their sheets are dirty and thereโs vomit on the wall in the room Iโm in. Place is a disgrace. I had tonsillitis and almost died at the hands of UH portage because all they want to do is get you in and put a bandaid over something that needs stitches. Morons. Donโt ever go here. Your review rating shows how horrible of a place you are. And no โ I wonโt be contacting you for my โexperienceโ take a look at the people youโre hiring. Assistants roll their eyes at you, no one takes your health concerns serious. ITS AN EMERGENCY ROOM!

2 months agoI was recently here for a hip injection and was treated respectfully by the few staff members I came in contact with. I was in and out in great time. I was very happy to see wheelchairs at the entrance because I require one for long distance walking and no staff at this entrance.

2 months agoHad to call 6 times to get to the place I needed. Every time I'd get transfered it would go to voice mail. 10 AM I know they are not on lunch. And the one time the person who had been transferring me hung up on me. This place is useless. God help you if you are sick or need treatment for something serious. This place is a joke and no one is laughing. Been going here all my life and they NEVER take your problems seriously, especially if you are a woman.

2 months agoI took my husband to the ER on August 13th. The staff, nurses, and technicians were wonderful. Dr. Nik was very compassionate in explaining the diagnosis. He answered all our questions and was very patient. UH Portage saved my husband's life.
