Dr. Daniel Haddad Sr, MD is an ophthalmology specialist in Troy, MI and has over 40 years of experience in the medical field. He graduated from NEW YORK Medical College in 1983. He is accepting new patients.
2 years ago, I did PRK procedure. The post op recovery went smoothly and very well. Dr Haddad explained the procedure in details and answered my questions/concerns. He is a very kind and great doctor. I made follow ups to check on my eyes on a regular basis. My vision was normal (15/20). No blurry vision at all. He gave me instructions how to rest my eyes while reading from books/laptop. The laser eye institute clinic team from the receptionist to the technicians were always welcoming and sweet on every visit I did. Thank you Dr Haddad for doing my procedure. I was not disappointment at all. I will recommend you to my neighbors, friends, colleagues, and family members.
Super happy with my SMILE surgery results done with Dr. Haddad. Very professional staff that answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable for my procedure. They were very transparent with all the possible side effects and disclaimers and had multiple thorough check ups beforehand with advanced technology to make sure I was eligible for a safe procedure. I was referred by two other close individuals and plan to pass the word along to others!
Getting PRK done in 2020 is still the worst decision Iโve ever made, follow up care was poor here. Iโve spent hundreds of thousands of dollars over the past 4 years just to try to not be in pain from corneal erosion. Do not recommend trusting your eyes at this place.
My experience with Troy Eye Institute was less than satisfactory. After enduring a wait of over 5 months for an appointment, our frustration peaked when we called the office on the day of our scheduled visit to confirm insurance acceptance. We spoke to Dan, who assured us they accepted our insurance. However, upon reaching the institute and investing almost an hour in travel, we were informed otherwise.
This lack of accurate information was disheartening, and the new staff on-site appeared slow, unprofessional, and uncertain about procedures. The overall impression was one of disorganization and a lack of communication between staff members. Improvement is needed in these areas to ensure a more positive experience for patients.
While the office is very nice and the staff are very kind, they lack rooms so you can expect a bit of a wait. Dr Haddad himself is very kind and professional, explaining every step in the process to my SMILE procedure (even though any average person with no opthalmic knowledge would have no idea what he meansโ itโs the thought that counts) which comforted me and made me feel more secure in getting the surgery. They offer very good pricing, with an option for interest free payments and 2 years of touch ups if any issues occur post operation. Highly recommend for anybody who has had to wear glasses their whole life like me! Life changing and worth the price. Consultation was free for those who are on the fence. Procedure took less than an hour and the roughest part was the anxiety during the operation.
