Dr. Ghazala Zafar, MD is an internal medicine specialist in Rochester Hills, MI. She is affiliated with medical facilities Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital and Ascension Saint John Hospital.
I have seen Dr. Zafar for many years, I have a very complex medical history. I don't agree with the other reviews I have read. She is extremely focused and dedicated to her patients. She is thorough to the extreme and always works very hard to find the root cause of every problem. If your looking for a best friend, you don't need a doctor, if you need someone who can help you be your best healthy self, make an appointment. She's amazing..... I and my life are a testament to her excellent care.
My mom recommended her to me years ago. She always rubbed me the wrong way, but I decided to try her again. The last time I saw her, I felt very unheard. When I discussed my ADHD with her, she quickly brushed me off, saying that she didnโt believe in the medication. Then, she took a casual phone call from her daughterโฆ. IN THE ROOM! There was no โI apologize- I need to get thisโ or anything. It was beyond unprofessional and rude. I also went in, due to heart palpitations. She never called, and followed up, with the results of the test. I will not be going back.
Do not recommend Dr. Zafar. I have been seeing her for years now and am finally switching to a new doctor. She is condescending, arrogant and at times, cold. The only time she was nice to me was after threatening to switch doctors. I have been suffering from daily migraines for over a week now, and when I went in to see her, she told me I donโt have a migraine because โhow could you have a migraine and be here, you would be in a dark room in bed.โ (Should I mention she was the one who prescribed me medication FOR migraines?) I explained that I have been getting migraines for years now and know what they feel like. Also, I work full time and do not have the option to just sit at home. Another time she made a huge point that I had gained weight. I confessed to her that I had been struggling with depression and anxiety, which had contributed to an unhealthy diet. She ignored that comment and told me to eat healthier and exercise because Iโm hurting my body.
