6 years agoDr. Qadir is one of the most thoughtful and caring people I have met to date. He cares deeply about his patients and helping them get the care that they need. If a plan doesn't work out, he's persistent until he figures out something that works and helps his patient function better in their day to day life.

6 years agoSo upset. I was given medication that made my condition worse, this was after meeting only once. I was given Seroquel (Quetiapine Fumarate), and I could NOT stay awake, my issue was that I couldn't pay attention, and this medicine was making me sleep through work and class. I'd advise you not to schedule with him, I don't care how many awards you have or how many years of school/experience you have, people like me are trusting people like you. Unfortunately, it didn't work out in my case. Always get a second opinion.

7 years agoI used to see Dr. Ayala as my psychiatrist, but sadly, he retired. Ayala understood my conditions, and my suffering with ADD. However, Dr. Qadir did not. I walked into his office, and as he looked through my account on his computer, he says, "So you were one of Ayalas?" I said, "yes sir I was." He nods his head in shock and says, "wow, you are prescribed this much adderall?" I said, "yes sir, Dr. Ayala reccomended this amount for me mainly because of my weight and also because of the amounts of studying that I do." He looks at me and says, "This is why we fired Dr. Ayala, because he is giving us this reputation." I said, "Wow, that's crazy." Dr. Qadir then tells me that I am a Drug Addict, I sell these pills on the street and that I take adderall like it's candy. I was extremely shocked and could not believe that he said that. I stepped out of the room and pretended to make a phone call because I was so angry that this doctor can be so unprofessional and say something to a patient who's suffering from ADD. I walked back into the room and he knew I was angry, so with all sarcasm, he says, "What are you going to school for?" I said I'm a full time pre-med student. (This is what shocked me the most) He then says, "That will never workout for you, you will always go up and down and never be successful." I was furious that he said that to me. It was as if he was out to get me for some reason. He mentioned that he was to cut down the prescription by 75%. As a doctor, he should know the side effects of such an action, such as withdrawal symptoms. I ended up confronting him and said, "I never thought I would meet a doctor who would tell their patient that they are drug addicts, sell adderall, take adderall like it's candy, will always go up and down in life, will never be successful, and will not become a doctor." After I said that, he disgustingly says, "I'm gonna have to tell to calm down, or I'm gonna tell you to get the hell out." That's exactly what I did, I got the hell out of their. I told him keep the prescription, I will get the hell out of here. Never in my life did I think a psychiatric doctor would do this to a patient suffering from a mental disorder, ADD. The unprofessionalism, hatred, selfishness, and utter disrespect that this doctor showed is truly sad and will never be forgotten. This was my experience, hopefully it won't be one of yours. Goodluck.
