a year agoAs other commenters have mentioned, the billing department here is lacking significantly and is causing the great clinicians at this office their patients. My family worked with Emma Rinck, NP, and if you choose to go here, I highly recommend her. She listened perfectly, she was kind, she was accessible, she is intelligent and well versed in her field. If Emma were to go to another practice, I would follow her there instantly. It very much breaks my heart and the heart of my kids to have to leave for something that should not be a reason to leave a medical office. I am also upset that I have to give the practice she works for such a low rating for something that she is not associated with. However, current and potential patients need to be aware of the billing office and their methods. They never answer the phone, but often referred to me being inaccessible as they called on a weekday in mid afternoon. I also responded when I could, even to their threatening emails to pay with all caps. I made payments and payment arrangement for balances that I had addressed months ago. They never collected any co-pay throughout months of services, then threatened to cancel services when I didnโt pay them over $600, that was a complete surprise to me. I had previously made a significant payment to them, that I was told I had to wake up at 7:00 am to make, set my alarm, made the payment on my credit card, and somehow itโs nowhere to be found. There is so much more to this story, but I would just advise patients to read the reviews about the billing department and proceed with extreme caution.

11 months agoDr. Mekhael has been a kind & compassionate physician to our family for years. Many psychiatrists throw meds at you & move on only to check in every 3 months to satisfy insurance requirements & collect a co-pay. That is NOT how Dr. Mekhael operates. He cares. Truly cares. Not just about the patient, but those interacting with the patient; parents, siblings, caregivers, teachers, etc. Something weโre grateful for is that despite seeking psychiatric assistance from him, he still treats us respectfully, not like weโre โless thanโ in any way. Mental health may be more socially acceptable nowadays, but thereโs still oneโs own insecurity when asking for help. Dr. Mekhael creates a comfortable environment in which to open up as well as involving patients in their own plan of care. (Which definitely leads to more positive outcomes in my opinion.) The office is a bit far for our family, but itโs located on a major road & near the hospital so itโs readily accessible. The medical assistants are young, but perhaps Iโm just getting old. Front desk staff are quite busy, but efficient. When I call any doctorโs office I absolutely HATE being stuck leaving a voicemail because calls are so rarely returned timely. Iโm grateful thatโs not the case with Dr. Mekhaelโs staff. They consistently respond promptly & address our needs completely. If thereโs any uncertainty in my review thus far let me clarify: Dr. Mekhael (and the team that supports him) are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by our family.

11 months agoLow rating because of billing. Providers are great but they charge you $75 if you donโt reschedule an appointment prior to 48-72 hours which is ridiculous. I am dropping out of this place and going elsewhere as I refuse to pay the โre-schedulingโ fee.

a year agoHorrible, will hold your refills hostage with for the smallest copay or missed appointment with no consideration to the side effects or stress or fear. Even with a valid reason. Will not prescribe medicines that work because "we don't prescribe those to people" likely because of the ongoing nationwide issues;however, what about us that could benefit. I highly recommend you find a different office.

a year agoMs Allor has been a blessing to my sonโs health and our family as a whole. She is quick to respond to concerns, listens patiently and without judgement, and did not give up on my son when things felt hopeless. Her knowledge in mental health, specifically pediatrics, is vast and I have felt very comfortable having her care for my son. Obtaining refills is a seamless process and usually issues only occur at the pharmacy or insurance level. She is also personable and easy to get along with, which makes seeing your provider enjoyable. We are so grateful for Ms. Allor. The office is easy to find and the staff is welcoming.
