Dr. Hisham Ahmed, MD is an internal medicine specialist in Lapeer, MI. He is affiliated with medical facilities such as McLaren Caro Region and McLaren Flint. He is not accepting new patients.
Iโve had so many Drโs & Specialists during the last 30 years & No one has come close to Dr Ahmed & his whole office . So many times my insurance has caused me problems & every time Their receptionist has gone above and beyond to help me navigate through .
As far as Dr Ahmed , he has been wonderful & always makes me feel comfortable & lets me know he has my best interest in mind .
Cannot recommend enough !!!!
Dr.Ahmed is very caring and takes time to listen to your concerns. Is quick to order necessary tests. And acknowledges care givers and spouses as part of the team seeking the best health of the patient.
Dr Ahmed is a really great doctor and I've been going to him for many years now. He's easily the best doctor I've ever had in my life, and I have had many. He's very knowledgeable and professional but also kind of a regular guy, and he works with me and he's very good about discussing things going on with me in a very personal way. He's not just one of these doctors who tells you what you have to do and tells you to shut your pie hole and do it. He is the opposite of these doctors. Highly recommended
The receptionist is beyond incompetent, unkind, and downright useless. Every question you ask is answered with "Call your insurance company, we don't know", but she'll never ask your name. How can she possibly know I need to call my insurance company to do HER JOB without asking my name? I have been hospitalized through ER at McLaren Hospital and Dr. Ahmed shows up and removes me from psychiatric medicine I've been dependent on for decades. Once while battling accute respiratory failure, and once while recovering from a heart attack. I have asked repeatedly to be removed from his practice to no avail, he keeps showing up if I'm hospitalized. I have filed a grievance with my insurance company. I hope he finds a new gargoyle/gatetekeeper/receptionist soon. She/her is lazy and unqualified. Dangerous to patients! Grade F. Also, new patients are required to sign aggressive, insulting, unethical document that says, "patient requests for pain medicine will cause instant dismissal." Suffice to say that threat was probobly a red flag. In general, this practice has no compassion to lend, and will never go the extra mile. It is a hostile environment, mostly due to derilect practice destroying behavior of front desk she/her. I think most of the office disrespect has to do with patients insured by Medicade. Who knows? I'll never go back.
Dr. Ahmed always listens well and we make decisions together regarding tests. My husband was able to have an early diagnosis of a serious illness which saved his life due to Ahmed's willingness to order significant tests. I have always had excellent care at Lapeer/McLaren facilities.
