Dr. Ibrahim Joulak MD

My experience with Dr Joulak has been nothing short than pleasant! I came into his office with extreme anxiety and every time I leave him I feel better and better. The only downside one may say is sometimes it’s a long wait to be seen! In my opinion this doesn’t matter much as having a doctor as personable and caring as Dr Joulak waiting a little longer to see him is the least of my concerns! Knowing there is assurance in him being the one to deliver my baby brings me even more peace. I highly recommend, especially women dealing with previous loss/ high risk. It’s well worth it.

I’m not one to typically write a review but after seeing some of the negative comments about Dr.Joulak and his team I felt the need to give my opinion and speak about my experience. The things said in those reviews could not be further from the truth. The first appointment I went to Dr. Joulak took the time to get to know my husband and I on a personal level and answer any immediate questions we had. Also during this visit we were told that sometimes the wait before an appointment could be long so bring a book or feel free to work while waiting. I truly appreciated the honesty and giving us realistic expectations also we traveled from 2 hours away to be seen by Dr. Joulak because my health and my babies health were the most important thing. The few times we had to wait it was due to Dr. Joulak taking care of an emergency. It never bothered me because in my mind it was more important for a mom and her baby to be taken care/saved over being on time for my appointment because I was there for just a check in not a life threatening situation. In regard to the receptionist they were always extremely pleasant to speak with and were always helpful when scheduling appointments or following up with any questions I had. I struggle with extreme anxiety but during this pregnancy and labor I was not worried once because I knew that I was in the best hands possible. My team of nurses felt like family and made me feel so calm even during situations that were scary. One of the reviews mentioned that he cares more about money than his patients. This comment made me laugh out loud because it could not be further from the truth. I was able to message or call Dr. Joulak at any time of day/night. That is extremely uncommon and to have that opportunity was a blessing. During my labor I was checked on by Joulak multiples times. I looked at my husband and asked him when do you think he sleeps or spends time with his own family? Most often you don’t see your OB until it’s time to push but I was visited a handful of time by Dr. Joulak who came into my room with a huge smile and reminded me that this was a time to be excited and happy and that it was his job to worry. If you are looking for an honest, well educated, straight shooter then Dr. Joulak is the right OB for you and your family. As we continue to grow our family we will always come back to our new “family”.

I just had my last postpartum appointment with him this week and I?d be lying if I said I didn’t shed a tear in the parking lot knowing I won’t be back to his office for a while. Myself as well as my husband recommend him to EVERYONE! It is very rare to find a doctor who lets you come in right away when you find out you are pregnant. I called asking to come in when I was super early and they welcome me with open arms that very week. Dr Joulak is a one man show at his office. You’ll get to know him over time seeing him at every visit, building a relationship with him, and then being able to know that it will be him delivering your baby is surreal. He took his time with me every appointment and answered every crazy question with good recommendations. He eased my mind during an ultrasound scare we had. During delivery, our sweet girl had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck twice and he was able to unravel it so quickly and with confidence that our baby was never in any distress. I should also mention, Dr Joulek has the sweetest nurses at his office and brother Fadi who we love that manages everything! He also has ROCKSTAR delivery nurses! I can only pray I get them again with Dr Joulek for baby number 2!!!!

As you go through your journey of finding a provider to care for you during what is expected to be the most beautiful process of life; it could be quite overwhelming. You type a google search and you read through hundreds of reviews. You search your nearest hospitals and their birthing centers. You factor in insurance, distance and appointment availability. Eventually you may land on Dr.Joulak's information. You read the raving reviews, you check out his Instagram, Facebook.... and you think to yourself this is the ONE! A decision you won't regret. Dr.Jouak provided me one of the best experiences I have had (for my baby #3!). One of the things I admire about his office is that you will always be able to secure an appointment. Unlike most offices who triage you over the phone and tell you see you when I see you, he makes room for you and handles your concerns. From the first appointment to the last you will not feel neglected. One of the important things to consider with this is you may experience a little bit of a wait at his appointments. For me I found this to be a major drawback; until I realized the reason for the occasional wait. The reason you may experience some wait time at his appointments is because he does not rush his patients. And when you find yourself in his care you will find that there is no such thing as set amount of time he will spend with you ! So eventually I realized that this drawback meant essentially nothing and I planned my appointments accordingly. His office is extremely clean and offers a welcoming environment. It is truly a family office. These wonderful touches seemed minor when I had my actual labor experience this past Monday. That is the true "Awe" of having Dr.Joulak. I went into labor Monday evening. I had no doubts that Dr.Joulak would not be there. I had no worries on who would deliver my baby and would they be familiar with my care, delivery plan or even my expectations. Dr.Joulak was only a call away. He arrived on time, he was patient and caring. My labor was full of laughs, love and joy. Truly unimaginable. My baby was born healthy and without any complications...not even a tear. (OfCourse there is no guaranteed that this will be your experience however it is nice to know your provider will be with you every step of the way minimizing harm to his best ability!). Once my baby was born and we were stabilized Dr.Joulak ensured to check on us daily up until discharge! I would say choosing Dr.Joulak was the best decision I made... thank God for that Google Search!

Always thorough,always smiling, makes you feel like you’re the only patient he has, so attentive your entire pregnancy and really takes the time to get to know your family. He is the best and I refer everyone who asks to him.
