5 months agoThe team here at Houston Methodist has undergone multiple changes and so did their customer service. My family spent over an hour trying to get through to anyone on the staff regarding a doctorโs note . Once I finally got through after multiple attempts the lady Brittany on the phone was rude and lacked any kind of empathy or understanding of the situation. We asked to speak to the supervisor who than spoke to me and my father about the situation and said my dad would be able to obtain the doctor note through the my chart and now the doctor messaged back staying he will not be providing a doctors note. My understanding is if the doctorโs note was never going to be issued why did we have to go through multiple channels of communication just to be told no at the end.

6 months agoDr. Alawin was phenomenal. He took his time to thoroughly explain the cancer, all the treatment options and why he was choosing one over the others. He patiently answered all our questions. I felt like he really took his time and he treated us as if we were his only patient for the day. If the unfortunate event occurs in which youโd need an oncologist, Dr. Alawin is the doctor youโd want.
