Dr. Mandana Khalili, MD, is a distinguished Professor of Gastroenterology with extensive expertise in Hepatology. She serves as Chief of Clinical Hepatology at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG) and holds multiple leadership positions, including Director of Clinical and Translational Research in Hepatology at ZSFG. Dr. Khalili’s research focuses on addressing health disparities in liver diseases such as viral hepatitis, nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, and hepatocellular carcinoma. She leads various NIH-sponsored networks and initiatives, including the Liver Cirrhosis Network and Hepatitis B Research Network. Dr. Khalili is dedicated to mentoring trainees and junior faculty, holding leadership roles in mentorship programs at UCSF. Her diverse research program supports junior investigators and contributes to improving liver care and reducing disparities in healthcare access and outcomes.
