Dr. Marawan El Tayeb, MD is a urologist in Temple, TX and has over 18 years of experience in the medical field. Dr. El Tayeb has extensive experience in Urinary Conditions and Urinary Calculi & Removal. He graduated from Alexandria University School of Medicine in 2005. He is affiliated with Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Hillcrest. He is accepting new patients and telehealth appointments.
I've unfortunately had several procedures on my bits, even a penile fracture so a bit of personal experience and while all procedures are going to suck the difference between this man and others is he isn't a doctor... He is an artist. Sure it's no fun regardless, but the huge difference in pain and recovery and such from the procedure he did in comparison to others is truly amazing. While I do wish my body didn't make kidney stones like popcorn at an all day movie theater, that part I can't help, I am glad to at least have had him for my surgeon and hope to in the future as well
Dr El Tayeb is no doubt a great doctor and I must say very well protected by his staff. I live in Houston and I've called the urology dept. and left message on Monday February 1, 2, 3, 4, spoke with a different person every time. On Wednesday it was John, on Thursday it was Michelle who informed me that scheduling a phone appointment would be the way. She took all my insurance info and said to expect a call from Dr El Tayeb on Friday. No one called! I'm currently scheduled to go to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, where the Holep procedure was pioneered and experts in the procedure are located. When I found out Dr El Tayeb had so much experience as well as great reviews, I wanted to talk to him to make a decision on whether I really needed to go to Philadelphia or change my plans to Temple. Temple sure is a lot closer to Houston than Philly.
My 1 star is not a reflection of the doctor but on the feedback and response I received from Baylor White & Scott Urology department.
