a week agoI never do Google reviews but I have to warn people about this hospital, if it means I can save a life. My aunt was admitted here back in September and diagnosed with multiple myeloma (a cancer that occurs when abnormal plasma cells build up in the bone marrow and form tumors in the bones). They found a 10cm mass on her chest and was to undergo a routine biopsy to ensure it wasn't cancerous. They somehow nicked her aorta during the biopsy, she hemorrhaged for about 7 hours... and she ultimately passed away the day before Thanksgiving. If you value your life or that of your family/friends, please DO NOT go to this hospital for any emergency services at all.

2 months agoโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญโญโญโญโญโญโญ (More than 5 stars!) Our son was hospitalized with pneumonia, and the care we received from the ER to the pediatric unit was outstanding. The staff worked with urgency, professionalism, and kindness every step of the way. Everyone, from doctors to nurses, was on time, polite, and attentive. They ensured our sonโs recovery plan was flawless and kept us informed throughout. Their compassion and teamwork made a stressful week much easier. We canโt thank the team enough for their exceptional

2 months agoI had a very bad experience at the hospital. My water broke at 4am and at 6:30am my husband and I arrived at the hospital. They examined me, I was 5cm dilated and contractions were every 3-5 minutes. At the hospital at 6:40am my water broke again. The contractions were very painful. At 7am I asked for an epidural. They told me I needed to wait , because in the room they had to clean it. My husband went home because he needed to take our son to preschool. I was left alone. The nurses made me lie down, periodically came to me and listened to the baby's heartbeat on the monitor, as well as the frequency of the contractions. The contractions were every 3-5 minutes. I asked about 20 times different nurses when they give me an epidural. They all said that no room for me and I need to wait. At 8:30 am my contractions were excruciatingly painful, my water broke for the third time, and I started bleeding. I told the nurses all these complaints. They said that it was normal for there to be blood. And one nurse brought me a heating pad for my back, which made the pain even worse, and I threw the heating pad on the floor out of anger. Everyone left me alone in the room, and no one checked my dilation or how many centimeters I was. I wrote to my husband and his nieces to call the hospital and give me an epidural because no one listened to me. They told him and niece that I need call the bell . But I saw nurses and many times I told them about epidural, but all of them told me โ No room for me !!! Need to wait โ I had been ready to give birth for a long time, this was my third birth and I know when a woman is ready to give birth. I was ready to give birth. I felt like the baby would just be born on its own. And they simply ignored me and my requests to give me an epidural. Once again, when everyone abandoned me, at 10 am I started screaming loudly, and they took me to the delivery room. It was hard to give me epidural because it was strong pain and the baby was almost out, but with big difficulty they gave me an epidural , the pain immediately went away and at 11:43 am I gave birth to a daughter. During labor, all the doctors and nurses helped me, they told me how to give birth, for which I am grateful to them. I gave birth very quickly, easily and painlessly.

3 weeks agoI do not have enough words to describe just how great NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital truly is. My wife was induced here and from the beginning the staff were helpful, informative and most importantly compassionate. There wasn't a single moment where my wifes needs weren't met, and where her doubts weren't addressed. Their level of knowledge is astounding and their resources are of the highest quality. They treated her better than I could have ever imagined a hospital staff to treat her. Thanks to the site and lovely staff my wife was able to give birth to a healthy baby boy. I am forever in debt to this wonderful establishment and will be an active advocate for NY-P when asked. Thank you!

in the last weekDr. Harrison performed surgery on my grandfather a couple days ago. And he passed away a day after. Though the surgery was supposedly โsuccessfulโ, we were left frustrated. The doctor a gave poor excuse and blamed the death on the fact that my grandfather took a post-surgery drug before his surgery. Iโm perplexed on why he would perform the surgery knowing that he took the drug. I personally wasnโt there to witness the conversation, but my father (who doesnโt speak English very well) was there to asked for an explanation for the cause of death and why my grandfatherโs body was super inflamed. Overall, my father spoke that the staff and the doctor wasnโt very kind to say the very least. I donโt know if itโs a reflection of racism, but Iโm just speaking my thoughts.
