I had a scheduled induction at this hospital and I just wanted to share my experience for anyone else that wanted to know what to expect. Checking in was smooth I arrived around 8pm (I did register prior to checking in). After a successful labor process with understanding and patient nurses (AM nurses) and moving forward to the birth I got switched back to my night nurse but this time it was 2 nursesโ€ฆ Iโ€™m not sure if the Second Lady was a student or not but Iโ€™m sure I was told by my morning nurses that cervix checks would be limited to prevent the spread of infection. As my pain increased I had already had a epidural inserted in my back and was told I would get a cervix check in the next 30 mins. The first time they asked if both of them could check and I said it was okay and to me it seemed like it was a student (or anyone that was practicing) and on my birthing plan I asked for no students in the room. As my pain increased I kept expressing that I was feeling more PAIN and not PRESSURE, they would tell me okay and leave the room and come back some time later asking me if they both could check again?? This time I said no cause like I told them before my pain kept increasing. I didnโ€™t understand why they BOTH needed to check my cervix, once was uncomfortable enough for me. Again I told them Iโ€™m feeling pain not pressure and I didnโ€™t understand why since I had the epidural in my back. By the last time I told them they told me it was a button to release the medicine for the epidural โ€ฆ how was I suppose to know that? I was then told every 10 mins I was able to release more of it and after 3 clicks they told me my blood pressure was dropping and it was time for me to push. I felt EVERYTHING! I was super uncomfortable because the feeling of my limbs started to return and I felt my arms, back, and legs tingle as I had to push. I asked them for warm compress to help with my tearing and I DID NOT receive what I wanted. They were super nice but I did not feel heard.

Had my scheduled C-Section here for my son. I couldnโ€™t have asked for better doctors, better nurses or better care. My nurses held my hand through my anesthesia, my doctors checked on me and my son constantly. Couldnโ€™t of picked a better place to birth my son. thank you south lake !!

If you have to be in the hospital, this is the best place to be. The hospital was clean, the people (nurses, assistants, room cleaners, etc) were so amazing. I could have taken them all home with me! The doctors were very attentive. I felt I received excellent care there. The food at this hospital was amazing! I felt I was in a really good restaurant for each meal. Only wish I had an appetite but I managed to eat half my meals. Every dish was delicious, it was a long way from hospital food. The pot roast, the salmon, the grilled chicken sandwich even the hamburger, baked chicken with a mushroom sauce, etc, all amazing & I miss it now that I'm home. Overall, I give this hospital an A+.

On my vacation from Philadelphia. I had to go to the ER then admitted to their hospital. First both places was beautiful. The architect and paintings were stunning. The hospitality made me feel great. Even though I was in pain. Their was so much open communication with staff and the Dr. Personally to me. And the food had taste(lol) and was yummy. I can't forgot the nice care bag they give.. My stay here was well worth my vacation. Oh and the view of my room was Amazing. Months later I see Iโ€™ve not written a review and I remember that I really wanted to because I had the best experience here. I had excellent nurses especially Katie. Sometimes we have our favorites :) Iโ€™d have to say the same for the NA who had to shower me. She made sure I was comfortable and she didnโ€™t hurt me. I felt very cared for by everyone including the staff in the cafeteria. They got my order correct and the person sending my food up was so kind. Transport was wonderful, I recall he had patience and when we got downstairs his co worker helped get me and my things loaded. Thank you all so much!!
