in the last weekI felt comfortable based on these other reviews going to Dr. Abusamieh, but I was wrong. Not only did the attending assistant/nurse look terrified to be there, he never introduced himself despite this being a 1st-time appointment. Worst of all, he had no clue why I was there, didn't want to see any pictures or evidence of my condition, and told me to come back when my symptoms came back. After some back and forth, I pushed to get blood test done, which he apprehensively sent, but not without calling me a "sissy with blood work" due to my (very common) anxiety/PTSD disorder surrounding needles. I would highly suggest people go see a different doctor who shows an interest in preventative care and basic empathy, because Dr. Abusamieh seems to lack both.

2 months agoFirst I should say Dr Abusamiehโs nurse is wonderful. Unfortunately he on the other hand needs to learn bedside manners from his nurse. In addition to coming in 45 minutes late and not even apologizing or acknowledging it, he didnโt even bother introducing himself as it was my first appointment. He has a Resident with him and in my opinion modeled horrible doctor patient interaction. Without introducing himself, he simply walked in and said โwhy are you here todayโ. Had he looked at my labs he would have know why my PCP referred me. Most frustrating was his offense at my asking questions. Instead of answering my question of what the side effects are of the medication he was prescribing he responded, โmost people are fine with being on it 20 yearsโ. That wasnโt what I asked. He still never answered. He seemed very annoyed when I sought clarity around the medication as if to say โIโm the doctor why are you asking me questions just do what I tell youโ. WOULD STRONGLY ADVISE LOOK FIR ANOTHER DOCTOR. Will be changing as soon as my insurance approves it.

6 years agoI love Dr. Abusamieh. You never wait in his office for more than 10 minutes and his nurse is very caring and knowledgeable. Dr. Abusamieh is very kind and patient. He will really listen to what is bothering you and not try and force a diagnosis without hearing you out.
