We want to say THANK YOU in capital letters.... our experience in care was wonderful, we were very anxious because we had been visiting 4 different doctors in the emergency room for 8 days, pediatricians and the best result was arriving at this hospital, we met angels willing, dedicated to solving and elucidating what my teenage girl had... the first meeting with the doctors was effective and truthful... the doctors: ALFREDO PACHECO๐Ÿฅฐ, diligent, communicative, committed and very kind, WILLIAMS REGINA, BRITTANY ALLISON, JODI BANSONTAMARA DUARTEโ€ฆ.. a charming and trustworthy team. The infectious disease specialist BRANDON CHATANI, communicative, kind, willing to explain every detail and with a nice disposition to let us understand every detail of the virus that our girl had. The nurses were very polite, kind, dedicated, they were a sun at every moment, well disposed, to every request, at all times they were kind, generous and pleasant in asking the baby how she felt, what she needed, they were always well disposed and loving in everything they had to do so that the baby was comfortable and safe. I hope I don't forget any by name, because we as parents will never forget their faces and attention... DAMN๐Ÿคฉ, ALICIA, JODI-ANN, PEYTON, HANNA , RACHEL๐Ÿฅฐ, MADELIN๐Ÿคฉ These moments in a hospital make you understand how weak and vulnerable we are as human beings and getting that support, both moral and human, was a light in dark moments. We are totally grateful to have been able to count on people so willing, professional, kind and with the best disposition to help us and get our baby out of such a strong viral picture. We feel supported and sheltered by such a nice group of people who put their personal lives before caring for the population. The details with each patient and family member were always very warm and quality, the hospital is beautiful, the spaces to feel pleased both patients and parents are special, taking care of every detail to make us feel confident in such worrying and uncertain times. My family is super grateful and for a stay that no one wants for a sick child, but at the same time you feel at home and well supported by a group willing to do the best for the benefit of their sick children. A thousand THANKS!! Dr. ALFREDO PACHECO A VERY BIG AND TIGHT HUG. from MICHELLE, DIANA AND MIKE๐Ÿฅฐyou are brilliant!! A thousand thanks to the whole team! beautiful and special people!! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป5 big stars for you!!GOD BLESS YOU!!๐Ÿผ

During our short stay in Orlando for a fun family day at Magic Kingdom-my youngest had a traumatic seizure scare where he ended up in the ER that afternoon at Advent Health. This stressed mama was overwhelmed with the sudden worry for my son and his health vs. making our flight home in less than 48 hours. From what I observed while in the ER overnight-how attentive the medical staff was in helping my son with his comfort of care and to making sure I too was comfortable. I will never forget that and how they cared that we were human beings. They were all so accommodating at getting my son a bed at the Children's Hospital unit; and were very communicative with the status on that. The ease of transition was superb. The EMT staff that transported us were so nice and welcoming and let me know how "hot" the weather was in Florida during the summer (I'm from dry Utah) and let me know tips about coming back to visit when the weather is more friendly. Getting to the children's unit, the staff there were all so welcoming and making my son feel safe in a new environment. They made sure he was entertained with lots of fun things while we waited for results on tests and answers from the physicians. They were quick! And, can I say how hard they all work and how much they love their jobs?! It was for sure a pleasant stay and I will never forget this core memory. My son was discharged with a smile on his face. And, we were able to make our flight home! Thank you so much for all the night and morning medical staff/team at the Advent Health ER floor, all the EMTs, and the medical staff/team at the Children's Hospital on the hold floor. You all are amazing!

I was disappointed in our recent visit to the pediatric ER. The provider didnโ€™t seem comfortable caring for my sonโ€™s face injury. The provider had his supervising physician check my son as well to approve of the plan of care, which I can certainly appreciate. However then he seemed not confident on his plan to suture and also said he could not use topical numbing. As a pediatric ER I would think a provider would be more comfortable caring for a young patient and knowing how to repair in ways that do not cause more trauma and fear for the already traumatized small patient. No one ever cleaned his wound other than wiping the blood away with a gauze to see the wound better. I eventually lost faith in this provider after he kept suggesting different plans, and repeatedly mentioned a referral to plastics/suture clinic. So we opted for that. The suture clinic was fantastic. They DID indeed use topical numbing. My young son even commented that they were much nicer. He did not feel pain. Ultimately, it feels like we wasted a ton of money and time at the ER. I would not plan to return to this ER after this experience. Although we greatly appreciate the care of the suture clinic, a pediatric ER provider should have been competent to correctly and confidently take care of my son.

We had a VIP experience in the pediatric ER. Brian our nurse provided exceptional care to our son. He connected with him and made him feel at ease during the IV process. He took extra time to explain and answer our sons questions. Dr. Kleist was prompt and moved very quickly to make the accurate diagnosis. This teams amazing care and customer service were top notch and embraced the AdventHealth service standard. We were so blessed to have them as our team and they got our son to feeling better quickly. Thank you for your awesome care.
