Dr. Mussarat Tahira, MD is an internal medicine specialist in Arlington, VA. She is affiliated with medical facilities Inova Alexandria Hospital and Virginia Hospital Center. She is not accepting new patients.
She is very thorough and gets to know her patients. She will address any issue you have or refer you to a specialist if necessary. She was very informative and got me back on track with my health. She doesnโt just give you prescription for sleeping disorder and dietary issues. She will help you get to the bottom of the issue in terms of your lifestyle and what could be causing the issue, order blood work..... For example, She referred me to a sleep clinic. She could have put me on Sleeping pills. Donโt get me wrong, Sleeping pills arenโt all bad but in my opinion, they are good for temporary/short-term use, for example, a long flight or when on travel for a few days. They can cause other issues and dependency. Iโm glad she gave me alternative treatment and it worked.
Been going to her since 06 those that say she is rude seems like they want to be coddled. I love her always been nice to me and I was one of the first male patients when her focus was on medicine for women.
Honestly speaking, they are charging for almost doing nothing. They take advantage of those who do not have good knowledge of services covered by insurance. Once someone is charged for unnecessary services (one might already has had) by this clinic, then they tell the patients you are charged and you have this service DONE recently, so you have to pay the bill by yourself as the insurance well NOT cover this one.
A good doctor and clinic is the one that explains everything in the very first visit right before billing or charging someone, not after.
Dear Dr. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT HEALTH IS SERVICE NOT BUSINESS!!!!!!!
What a disgusting experience, should've looked at the reviews. Unprofessional and a typical doctor with a typical mindset. She shouted at my wife, and accused me of lying when i asked her to fill a paper for me for my work, she stated she could get in trouble by filling the paper for medical leave, when i pressed her on her blubbering she changed her tone and story saying she meant to say that she cant fill the paper work until she gets the test results. Save your time and believe the reviews, they are true and then some.
Very professional demeanor. Kind and took time to talk with me. She also spent a good amount of time with her other patients. The wait in the front office was a little long, but after I realized how much time she spent with me, I understood why. Just be prepared to wait a little longer for your appointment, with the understanding that she is taking time to meet with others.
