2 years agoNo one has bedside manner like this man. He cares. It shows in the manner he speaks to you. I've been a patient for over 2 years. I met him in the ER at Sparrow when his team was first to diagnose a dissection in my vertebral artery leading to the fact they found evidence that I had suffered through multiple strokes. He has been with me every step of the way since. I have always wanted to hug him. But because of covid I have not been able to. My husband and I often say he is simply the smartest person we have ever talked to. He saved my life.

2 years agoI waited 5 months to see Dr. Qahwash for my back. At my first visit I was told to get an MRI and return in 2 months. At 2 months no discussion took place as to treatment other than being sent to pain management and getting an EMG and return in 2 months. I was getting worse every day. The EMG Dr. told me I had significant nerve damage and Dr. Qahwash needed to see that. Once again Dr. Qahwash was booked out months. At that time I could barely walk. Fortunately, I got a referral from a very well respected Dr. who connected me to a neurosurgeon out of town. I'm getting the treatment I needed.
