6 months agoThis might be a long one, but is so so necessary and should serve as a warning. Do NOT go to Dr. Lashin if you want a doctor to care about your urgent health matters or you as a human being. DISCLAIMER - I usually love the Cleveland Clinic health system, so this experience was shocking for my family. On May 14, 2024 my father had an FNA biopsy of 2 thyroid nodules. This procedure was ordered urgently by Dr. Ossama Lashin. my dad drove same day from Lashinโs office in Lorain to Solon to have this procedure done. We heard nothing from Dr. Lashin office even though we were told the doctor would call either Friday or Monday (latest). We received no phone call, no MyChart communication - nothing. On Tuesday at 1:20pm we received a notification that new results had posted in his MyChart. I opened the results to see that one of the thyroid biopsies was positive for malignant cells and papillary thyroid carcinoma. This was a scary pathology result and Dr. Lashin never took the time to even answer our call. We got a measly, cold, and short message on MyChart, after nudging the office. NEVER even a call. Dr. Lashin needs a re-evaluation of his entire process and patient relations. I am so incredibly disappointed and ashamed in the Cleveland Clinic Health System right now, and I have never felt that way ever in my life. I would go as far to say that the Cleveland Clinic needs to seriously consider whether Dr. Lashin should be practicing medicine, especially because the endocrine system is one of the most complex and important systems in our body. This man simply does not care about his patient's lives. I wish I could alert the State Medical Board of Ohio myself. CLEVELAND CLINIC, DO BETTER!

a year agoIf I could give him zero stars I would. He was VERY dismissive of my test results and my symptoms. I went to him because my doctor did basic thyroid testing and found low test results. My doctor told me I needed to follow up with endocrinology. Ok great, or so I thought. I went to him, he repeated the panels which still came back the same. I had low t3/t3 with a low but normal tsh. Same exact numbers. Then he proceeded to tell me that my doctor is wrong and doesnโt know what she is talking about. You had a baby 10 months ago it will be fine. He then proceeded to tell me that since I was born with hyperthyroidism that itโs extremely rare to have hypothyroidism..let alone a pituitary failureโฆhe seen how sickly I looked but turned a blind eye. Fast forward about 4 months and Iโm rushed to the ER with symptoms of thyroid storm. I went to another doctor for a second opinion and Iโm glad I did because I could have died. The second doctor, repeated all the tests. ALL STILL ABNORMAL. Then did an MRI on my brain, an Adrenal test, free t4 tests. In January of 2023, I finally got a diagnosis of secondary hypothyroidism due to a failed pituitary gland. That my pituitary gland did a large hormone dump causing me briefly to go hyperthyroid which caused me to go into crisis. Iโm now being medicated no thanks to this doctor. He may be decent for textbook cases where he doesnโt have to actually have to use brain power to get a diagnosis. If you think you may be a complex case or suspect anything outside of primary thyroid disease. Stay away because he will absolutely not treat you properly. He needs his medical license revoked

10 months agoI have never had a bad experience with Dr. Lashin or anyone from his office. I'm very comfortable with his care. I highly recommend him.

4 years agoI had trouble receiving a response from this provider regarding blood work results and need for medication change. The Dr. Ordered monthly lab work but often forgets to put in orders. There was no apology from the Dr. Or office staff.

2 years agoHorrible. Why pay this guy $600 a visit when he does less to treat thyroid disorder than a $40 primary care physician? He should be ashamed of himself and his calous, arrogant and non empathetic attitude.
