a month agoI experienced undue pain and anguish. Dr. Cook might have been a respectable doctor in the past, but you can save yourself the trauma today. Doctors are not paid to care, but you must treat human beings with a certain level of dignity. Expect to be treated like meat. With an urgency as if you are actively bleeding out yet an impatient attitude that only demonstrates how much he does not actually care. It will be rough, sloppy, and cold. I did not go to him because I wanted to. Dr. Cook was the only specialist with authority who would take me on short notice besides urgent care or the e.r. for sudden extreme vaginal pain due to a common illness that I had not experienced before. I can see why he was available. While in the office, I calmly, politely, and understandingly informed him of how he has made me feel both physically and mentally, in spite of the extreme pain I was experiencing in the moment. He did have a nurse that gave me two tissues while I gathered myself, but I felt rushed. He did take his hands off me until I said I was ready. But he did not address my concerns or follow through with basic protocol to communicate what he was doing especially after he lost my trust with the initial handling of the affected tissue. I had to be the one to initiate an explanation of Dr. Cooks actions. He was still rough. I could not see his examination and needed to brace myself for pain at every step. Keeping his patient informed did not seem like common sense practice for him even after I informed him that he was being inappropriately rough. It felt like negotiating with a child to behave. Dr. Cook also verbally invalidated and denied my suspicions of coexisting conditions based on my almost 30 years of experience in my own body with chronic and genetic illness. He later confirmed my suspicion was correct with a positive test result and his unprofessional assumption that my condition was caused by one factor alone was not acknowledged. His office doubled down. Today, it was dismissively and casually suggested that I get an over the counter medication that is known to be expensive, unnecessarily painful, inconvenient, and invasive rather than prescribing a simple pill that is covered by insurance for a well known issue and actually treating me for the second condition. It has been a week by the time they suggested this "treatment plan." I will be sticking with my general doctor who kindly referred me to Dr. Cook as his last minute choice. No one should have to subject themselves to disrespect and incompetence in exchange for health care. I was failed at every step from miscommunicating the location of his office, a rough and calloused examination, and finally, a flimsy follow up. You seem like you are checked out, Dr. Cook. Have a nice retirement.

2 years agoThis is the best OB/GYN practice. The doctors are great, easy going and serious when they need to be. The staff is great and very attentive. They get you in and out, unless thereโs an emergency with a pregnancy. I was a high risk pregnancy, age, blood clots and lots of other things and they got my daughter and me through a very tough pregnancy . Going back for yearly check ups is easy. I canโt say enough great things about them.
