Dr. Rami Tabbarah is a specialty care physician board certified in obstetrics and gynecology at Inova Health System. He is fellowship trained in management of abnormal uterine bleeding, fibroids and minimally invasive procedures including robotic surgery.
Dr. Tabbarah became interested in obstetrics and gynecology because of a general interest in womenโs health and female pelvic disorders. His goal is to help his patients get optimal care for their gynecological concerns. He is experienced in treating a variety of gynecological problems both surgically and medically.
Born in the United States, Dr. Tabbarah also lived in Lebanon for some time. He currently resides in Virginia with his wife, two sons and daughter. He speaks both English and Arabic proficiently. In his spare time he likes to read, bike and hike.

4 months agoDr. Tabbarah is a skilled surgeon, but the post-op care I received was less than sub-par, it was non-existent. Despite reaching out via phone and through the portal, neither the doctor nor anyone on his team ever responded to me regarding the post-op symptoms I was experiencing (and which the hospital discharge papers said were serious and for which I should contact the Dr). When I finally reached the office, I was told by the receptionist to go to the emergency room. I was also not able to schedule my two-week post-op follow-up with the Dr as he had no availability until six weeks after the surgery (why not just proactively schedule follow-ups for surgery patients if the Dr's calendar fills up so quickly). My follow-up was with the nurse who was caring but could not answer any questions about the surgery itself or explain why I was experiencing symptoms like daily fever and severe digestive issues. It was frustrating, hurtful and disappointing to experience such a lack of care during this vulnerable and difficult time.

a year agoDr. Tabbarah and I met in 2018 when I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. He so kindly indulged my insanity and recommended the surgeon that gave me a second chance. On the 24th of October, 2023 it will be 5 years since my last chemo. And I survived. Thank you to Dr. Tabbarah and his team! 3 years agoDr. Tabbarah is not just a great doctor, he is an amazing human being. He truly showed he cared about me as a person and not just as a patient, we need more doctors like him. I had major surgery with him and i would highly recommend him. He advised me well and fit me in for surgery on Christmas Eve. He did this to take care of my issues quickly and to put my mind at ease. 4 years agoDr Tabbarah is an exceptional doctor, and our family feels extremely fortunate that he was my wife's doctor throughout her pregnancy and delivered our baby just this week. He is extremely knowledgeable, experienced and skilled, and we are delighted that our baby's first moments were in his care. We could not have wished for a better doctor or experince.
