Dr. Rana O. Afifi MD

Dr. Afifi is cold cruel and totally unprofessional I too was knicked during angioplasty and was being forced to stay due to blood loss. She refused to give me local anesthesia thinking a LOCAL would be ok. It was not. I asked for anesthesia and was ignored and felt every bit of procedure. She never checked on me to this day. It's been 8 days I'm looking for a new VASCULAR surgeon.

I went to her for an aneurysm of the spleen. Was supposed to be and outpatient procedure that ended up being an 3 week hospital stay. During the surgery somehow this doctor lacerated my kidneys and didn’t tell my family what she done until my body went into shock. Had no explanation who or how she mistakenly cut my kidneys repairing my spleen other than my veins were kind of crooked. As a doctor you supposed to study a patients veins and how you will operate before you risk their live. My life and body has not been the same. I’ve gone back to her to assist in my healing and it’s 3 years later and my kidneys have not healed. other arteries issues and my body has gone through so much since this Dr. I HATE that I encountered such faulty care with no regard to life. My life has been clinging since this Dr touched me. The biggest problem is the lack of concern to fix what she broke. I have spent thousand of dollars trying to be better. Now when the insurance and money run out she no longer cared. I’ve been waiting for years to be better. Sadly I trusted this lady at the beginning because of her bedside manners but up until this medical mistake with no answers or assist to care for me is something from the devil’s advocate to do this. Beware please. Reviews is truths. Above all I can prove everything I just stated.

God Bless you Dr.Afifi! This is the only Doctor that listened to me. I had a blockage in my iliac artery. Was not able to walk or play with kids. I went to many different doctors, pain management, cardiologist and no one could tell me what was wrong. She actually heard my voice. She ordered the necessary test to confirm my diagnosis and scheduled my procedure. I spent one night in the hospital and officially got my life back. I am walking and tolerating normal exercises. Things most take for granted I can truly appreciate now. Thank you very much Dr.Afifi.
