2 months agoScheduled an appointment for in office iron infusion. Made sure my ins was accepted and the service was done here. When my appointment happened I was taken to the lab where 6 viles were taken. I asked what they were and why it was done before my appointment she said it is the way the doctor works . Went to a room, the doctor came in for 5 min said he would get approval from my ins and to call in 2days to make the appointment. I called back and was told still it needed approval. Received a VM that it was denied and I was being sent to the hospital. Upon calling my insurance to see why it was denied they said there was no denial and the office submitted and canceled the request in the same call. The office manager told me this was done for my benefit since it would have been 10 days for the prior authorization to be done by the insurance. So instead of allowing my ins to approve or denied the claim they stopped the path of my care. The hospital that they passed me off to, I had been trying to get an appointment and approval for 7 weeks prior to this appointment. Then they sent me a bill for the mysterious labs and an office visit. When I disputed them through the billing dept, they returned that care was provided. My ins even reached out on a 3 way call to grace and I was suppose to be getting a return call from her or the office manager which never happened. Now I have disputed it through my ins and am waiting a response from the office manager.

7 months agoTerrible staff, every single one of them is dumber than the other. God bless who ever decides to visit this so called doctors office. Trash.

2 years agoExcellent experience with him at this point but itโs early in my treatment regimen. Treating advanced prostate cancer. He reminds me of an old country doctor. Great bedside manner but working under trying circumstances (i.e., many patients with limited longevity).

4 years agoHe is a nice enough doctor, but that isn't good enough. In 2017, my husband was suffering from continually lowering blood counts. Dr Ballouz told him "well, you're getting older, and though the numbers are out of range, they aren't far..." When my husband inquired about a bone marrow biopsy, Dr Ballouz said it wasn't warranted. A few months later, as we continued to fight for a diagnosis, my husband went to the Cleveland Clinic, where he was told a Bone marrow biopsy would be done the next day... And he was then diagnosed with Hairy Cell Leukemia. He was then treated, and several years later is now living a happy, healthy, normal life. We realize that HCL is rare, but had we listened to Dr Ballouz, my husband may have died waiting for a diagnosis. Please seek a second opinion if you know in your heart that something is wrong, because doctors are not perfect.
