I will literally never step foot in this hospital ever again! Last night my two teenage sons were in a car accident. We arrived by ambulance at 4:15 p.m. One of my sons went to Pediatric trauma and my other, adult trauma. My older son was treated immediately after imaging and got stitches and cleaned up on the gash on his head. Sat for 4 more hours to get his IV removed and at 8:30 was discharged. My other son had glass in his hand and was bleeding continuously. At 830 we had only seen 1 person and only because of shift change. We were there until almost midnight, almost 8 hours!!! And NOT ONCE did they clean his hand. Did not remove the glass. Kept asking questions, got run around answers. Never saw an Attendee, only Residents and nurses to evaluate his imaging. First they said he had a foreign object (glass) in his hand that needed removed, then said the glass is small and they are going to leave it alone? WHAT? Said he was going to confirm with his "boss", never came back! I finally decided to discharge him myself! It was ridiculous. His hand still has multiple lacerations, still covered with blood, still has glass in it! I can't believe, I am baffled at how this is the Pediatric trauma unit!? I will take him to another hospital to get new xrays! Never again! It was a horrible experience! I will say our nurse, and I wish I knew her name, was a kind sweetheart to me and my son and very understanding.

This is a great hospital/ER to go to if you plan to waste 7 hours of your time and get nothing accomplished. I understand a lot of medical facilities are short-staffed and can be packed full of people. However when we arrived they weren't that busy. We still waited over half an hour to be taken into the emergency room. We came here because my wife is 5 weeks postpartum and has been bleeding heavily and having clots. Although they make it seem super serious to figure this out when we called in, my wife waited two and a half hours before they decided to take her blood to get labs done. They then proceed to tell us we will have answers in 2 hours. 3 hours later a different PA came over and told us the other one's shift ended and no one notified her that we needed to be given the lab results. Then she proceeds to tell my wife they advise we wait for an ultrasound even though we could have had that done all day so why wait until the 7th hour??? Also I would like to add after spending 7 hours there not one single person checked my wife's bleeding once to even confirm the concerns we had and the reason for our visit!

Nurse in ER nicked my vein and refused to take the IV out. Staff in ER were extremely unprofessional and rude. Every staff member was playing on their phones most of the time I was there. Photo is how bruised my arm is almost a week after my visit. Place is a literal death trap nightmare.

My experience was fine. A lot of the staff was helpful and friendly and I was accommodated for. The only 2 things I have problems with in this visit: 1. A female urologist told me I would be losing a vital part of my body and I would need surgery. Her attending came in and he told me everything would be fine. Iโ€™m not trying to be sexist, but guys shouldnโ€™t be gynecologists, and women shouldnโ€™t be urologist. Thatโ€™s just a personal opinion of mine. 2. I had blood taken multiple times, and they used the same vein. The last blood check, the nurse stuck me a total of 4 times, all of them being pushed and prodded in my skin in all directions trying to find the vein. With how it hurts now, I think the vein is blown as of rn.

Nobody wants to be in a hospital, especially when your child is the patient, but I was over all very appreciative of the Pediatric doctors and staff, along with the Podiatrist, and the MRI team! They all made son be assured he was safe and being taken care of. They staff was respectful to our decisions as far as certain options we chose over the most common steps normally taken. Thank you Hershey Medical team!
