My orthopedist referred me to this doctor for what I thought was going to be injections for pain my ankle. He examined my ankle and diagnosed with primary osteoarthritis, but failed to inject. He instead prescribed Celebrex.. I left the practice, shaking my head, because I thought I was supposed to be getting pain relief. When I went back to the orthopedist and told her what happened, she seemed to be confused. As time went on, my pain kept increasing. I asked her to refer me back to him. She referred me back to him, but he wanted to give me injections in my back. He said that the pain in my ankle was coming from pinched nerves in my back. The orthopedist told him that I had an EMG test that was remarkably abnormal. His wife, the nurse practitioner, told me that she wanted to give me the injection just to rule out that the pain in my ankle was not coming from my back. The way they treated me was the epitome of gaslighting. I got up and left the practice telling them that there is no way theyโ€™re going to give me an injection in my back just rule out that the pain in my ankle is not coming from my back. That is the most ridiculous thing Iโ€™ve ever heard of. Needless to say, I left, and I will not be returning because I donโ€™t want to be anybodyโ€™s, guinea pig.

I'm a 64 yr. old woman w/ chronic back pain (arthritis). After 2 tests (his words) and final treatment I've had no relief. During my followup appt. Dr. T insisted I was no longer in pain. I was in tears and so intimidated. After all the humiliation & money I now have to search out a 2nd opinion looking for a decent quality of life.

Excellent doctor. Very caring. Always thorough. Listens to me and asks relevant questions. I highly recommend him. Note: He has a couple of staff people who need additional training.
