Dr. Walid Jaziri, MD is a psychiatrist in Norwich, CT and has over 41 years of experience in the medical field. He graduated from UNIVERSITY OF LIEGE / FACULTY OF MEDICINE in 1982. He is not accepting new patients.
I can't believe this MD is still in business. I went to Dr. Jaziri in my early 20s for an anxiety/panic disorder. He pushed so many drugs on me, I had no quality of life and the drugs weren't helping. I was taking a pill every hour on the hour. I had to have a pill box to keep track. I was a zombie. If I was getting bad side effects, he would prescribe another drug for the side effects instead of admitting it wasn't working. One of them was Topamax which was an anti-seizure medication which is not recommended to treat anxiety.
I switched to Backus Psych Center and they weened me off everything except for 2 medications, an anti anxiety med and an anti depressant. I was able to get my quality of life back without anxiety. When I was seeing Dr. Jaziri, I was afraid to even leave my home. My Dr at Backus got me out of the house and working. Today, I live a normal life. For those struggling, don't give up. There is hope.
The only thing that i don't like is that you never get to talk to the doctor. You get a call from PA or APRN that I didn't sign up for. I signed up to have Dr. W. Jaziri not some random person I have never met.
INCOMPETENT. Not a single person in this office will listen to you, they will simply just talk over you in their stupid, mild mannered tone. My one and only TMS Treatment, Which, Not only did I receive no information on, but it has made me worse than Iโve ever been. I feel like Iโm being tortured. The feelings of my internal turmoil are indescribable.
I feel helpless, alone and scared.
I called the front desk lady. She said I was yelling. I was not yelling. I told them I was having severely dark thoughts and was in crisis and no one is helping me.
If and when I give into these thoughts. Youโll have yourselves to blame.
Some people become doctors to help people others do it for the money. I clearly see This practice for what it is now.
Malpractice. Tells you to "shake out half the powder and use that" for a CONTROLLED MED. which is NOT how specifically measured and dosed capsules should be handled. Ever.
I'm being billed for an insurance overlap issue I had ZERO clue about. The office is demanding I pay a bill that I did not consent to. The doctor knew of the insurance issue and continued to see me without communication. OR insurance coverage without ugly knowledge. Once the doctor saw I was growing a bill, I was switched over to a doctor who took my insurance only to be left with the excess fees the previous doctor had so kindly racked up for me. Then the billing office calls BEFORE my appointment and does not transfer me to my SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT if I do not make a payment or miss the call.
I am constantly calling to remind them of meds I need filled, missed appointments and the office NEVER tells you when your doctor is out or if they've left the practice entirely.
I am finding a new DR. Immediately. I have seen nurses with better medication knowledge. DONT GO HERE.

2 months agoDr. Jaziri was by far the best doctor that Iโve ever had . As far as psychiatry and therapy this guy is incomparable.
