Dr. Fares performs all aspects of general surgery, with a special interest in minimally invasive (laparoscopic) and robotic surgery. He also performs nonsurgical treatment of internal hemorrhoids with infrared coagulation and endoscopic banding.
Since 1988, Dr. Fares has been as Associate Professor at Michigan State University at both the Osteopathic and Allopathic programs. Today, he continues to train residents in the field of general surgery and family practice for the respective training programs at Michigan State University.

a month agoDr Fares and is his staff are amazing! My hubby ended up needing his gallbladder out. They were quick to get us an appointment and then into surgery. Hubby's gallbladder was operating at 0%! Dr Fares was informative, took time for questions and concerns. Not to mention great personality and bedside manner. Last but certainly not least I can't forget Leslie. She's the kindest and very helpful. Great experience!

4 weeks agoFor an entire month I was having a lot of abdominal pain. The ER and my Primary Care Physician ran several tests. After a scan showed no flow into my gallbladder at all is when things moved very quickly. My doctor put me on an antibiotic and got me in to see Dr. Fares very quickly. Throughout the process Dr. Fares and his staff were amazing, kind, informative and displayed a great bedside manner during all 3 of my appointments with him (consultation, surgery, and post-op follow up 2 weeks afterwards). I appreciate what he did to help me through this, and would recommend him.

8 months agoDr Fares and his staff were wonderful I felt that they all cared about me. He did a great job with my surgery to remove my gallbladder. And when a couple of things arose and my husband had to call the office and they were closed he called him back immediately. He was able to answer my husband's questions and took care of the situation. I would recommend his office to everyone.

8 months agoAll the staff at the office are really nice and care about you. Dr. Fares is great he is straight to the point and cares about his patience. He removed a cyst from my leg right at the office and made me feel comfortable with the procedure. I would recommend Dr Fares to anyone who needs surgical procedures that he does.

7 months agoDr. Fares and staff are absolutely wonderful. My experience here and having surgery has been amazing. They very patient oriented, detailed and a caring practice. If I ever need surgery again, they will be my only go to! Thank you taking care of me.
