4 months agoIf zero stars were an option that is what I would give. I do not live in NYC however, the company that I work for is in NY and that is the state that my insurance will cover. On 6/13 I booked an appointment for Dr. Khoury to perform a procedure on 6/21. I provided my insurance details as well as all of the other pertinent information such as the fact that I do not live in NY. I recapped the date, time and location before hanging up. I received an email with portal information and was shocked to see that the office listed was in Brooklyn not NY (the office that I confirmed). I called back and was told that indeed the appointment was in the Manhattan office. On 6/18 I received two appointment confirmation emails the first one with the Brooklyn office ( I called and reconfirmed that it was Manhattan) the second email and portal update listed the Manhattan office. I was told to arrive at 8:30 am (30 minutes prior to appt). I flew into NY, arrived at 8:30 am to a dark office. I waited until 9:05 and called the Brooklyn office and was informed that my appointment was canceled because of the insurance plan that I have. I asked why didn't anyone notify me and I was told that someone called me on Wednesday and that my voicemail was full (it wasn't) but there was no follow up call, email or text, not even a message on their portal. However, what they did was list me as a No-Show on the portal. So here I was at 9:00am in the hallway staring into a dark office with luggage, almost 90 degree temperatures and uncertainty about my medical results. The staff's response was so nonchalant and "oh well" that I cannot begin to tell you how I felt. No compassion, no apology, nothing. Not everyone should be in an industry where you're dealing with human beings especially as it relates to medical. I'm out of airfare, hotel, and other costs as well as extreme anxiety.

3 years agoWARNING: do not go to this place if you need a surgical procedure unless you can verify in advance from them that the location the procedure will take place takes your insurance. I was extremely disappointed by this Doctor and his office. I called in advance and was very clear about the specific surgical procedure I needed. I sent my tests and lab results in advance. They set up an appointment and I went out of my way to see them during a pandemic. I basically sat in the doctor's office after giving a urine sample and being checked in so he could tell me that while he takes my insurance, the location the procedure would take place does not. HORRIBLE WASTE OF TIME and a huge loss considering the time-sensitive nature of my procedure. I also was asked during the check-in to remove my mask for a photo. The receptionist wasn't wearing her mask when I entered. At first she just held it in front of her face. I had to ask her to wear it. The doctor condescendingly explained to me that he could have taken my procedure and had me billed afterward, so he was ethically in the right and they don't have a system in place to prevent this type of thing from happening. It's NOT right. They should never have taken my appointment to begin with. He had also mentioned during our appointment something about my procedure that was old-school and incorrect according to the obgyn/surgeon I ultimately ended up having it performed by.

4 years agoNever fun going to gynecologist but this was painless and quick. Great experience with all of the staff and Dr Khoury. UPDATE: they messed up my billing and I have been fighting for MONTHS for them to correct it. Never coming back, not worth it even thought I liked the dr.
