At El Cedro, our journey begins with a deep appreciation for the rich tapestry of flavors that intertwine the culinary traditions of Mexico and Lebanon. Nestled in the heart of Cobble Hill, Brooklyn, our taqueria is not just a restaurant; it’s a celebration of cultural fusion and culinary heritage

3 weeks agoThe food is so so delicious! The dips were really yummy and the watermelon feta dish was fantastic. The tacos were super tasty as well. The owner of the restaurant is incredibly kind and generous. This is a Cobble Hill gem.

a week agoThis place is really special. Enjoyed every one of the dishes. Dips were great but not the standouts. The Branzino and the nut sauce it came with was divine. The Crunchy and Pollo Asado tacos were incredible, perfect fusion of Lebanese and Mexican flavors, owner and staff are very polite, professional and helpful. RECOMMENDED

a month agoMy wife and I absolutely loved every single dish we had. We tried the crunchy sujuk tacos, the bendera dip which consisted of the muhammara (red bell pepper dip mixed with nuts), labne (lebanese yogurt) and guacomole hummus, kaftaquitos, and the makanek batata (lebanese sausage with potatoes, in pomegranate sauce). For desert, we had a milk pudding called mhalabiyeh which is topped with pistachios. This was such an unexpected combination of cuisines that blend so well together. You can really tell that the chef put so much thought and love into every dish. The flavors were amazing to say the least and the service was outstanding. We definitely plan on coming back!

2 months agoHighly recommend this place. They brilliantly fuse two cuisines together (and two vibes). It was delicious, beautifully presented, and a very enjoyable meal. The people who work here are super friendly and kind. Go eat here; you wonโt regret it.

4 months agoInteresting and creative mix of Middle Eastern and Mexican food. Highly recommend the makali sandwich which is made with zucchini, eggplant, pureed cauliflower, and red cabbage. It was very well flavored and definitely the highlight of the menu. The watermelon salad was good but too spicy with jalapeno seeds mixed in. We also liked the pan seared branzino which had a nice blend of herbs and spices. The staff did not communicate well with the kitchen or were not yet trained as they came back noting the sandwich was sold out when in fact they meant the kitchen needed time to prepare the ingredients. I got confused when seeing customers who came in later having the sandwich.
