Encanto Community Church-United Church

There are three UCC sister churches in the Phoenix Metropolitan area. They all met at the Encanto campus for Maundy Thursday with a potluck dinner, consisting mostly of different soups from around the world, at 5:30 pm.... followed by service at 7,:00 pm. All three churches have female pastors and are very involved in service to and for the community outreach programs. They are very inclusive to every walk of life and practice the teachings of Jesus to a fault. Their motto: "Jesus never rejected anyone.. neither do we." If this style of Christianity appeals to you... definitely give them a chance and check them out... Once the worship is over...the service begins....

I love this warm, welcoming, very community-involved church. They have some beautiful buildings, too. The sanctuary has some modern stained glass windows that are inspiring and beautiful, and remind me of the church I grew up in. The pastor is the salt of the earth and willing to dig and work alongside the parishioners. It's clearly not a wealthy church, but they do all they can to help out needy folks in the neighborhood. I just go to a meeting there, but their warmth, welcoming attitude, and visible involvement in the community has inspired me to give money and donate clothing and personal care items whenever I can.

I don't personally go to this church, but I do know all of the staff that works here, and the pastor, and they are a delight! If the staff, or pastors character, says anything about the church, then I'm sure it's wonderful!

A fantastic place to spend a Sunday morning. The congregation is welcoming to people of all faiths no matter where you are on Life's Journey!
