In 1996, Chef Fadi Dimassi opened Fadi's Mediterranean Grill. Fadi's menu is based on family-owned recipes and is rich in delicious Mediterranean flavors. These exceptional recipes are the keys to Fadi's success and have earned various food critics' awards- including the 2009 Best of Houston Award from the Houston Press. There are now six Fadi's restaurants in the Houston and Dallas areas, with a seventh now open in Sugar Land! Fadi Dimassi is chef, manager and owner of one of the finest Mediterranean restaurants in the Houston and Dallas areas: Fadi's Mediterranean Grill. Born and raised in Saida, Lebanon, Fadi began training at the age of nineteen in his family's restaurant. In December 1990 he and his family came to the United States, where in 1993 his family opened their first Houston restaurant called Dimassi's Mediterranean Buffet. Then in 1996 he opened Fadi's Mediterranean Grill; and eight months later, the rest of the family left Dimassi's and joined him in promoting his flourishing, new restaurant. (Dimassi's is still in existence today but is no longer associated to the Dimassi family.) Fadi gives much credit for his success to his parents, wife and brother as they have worked diligently alongside him from the beginning. He, his lovely wife and three beautiful children live in the Houston area. Fadi greatly enjoys spending free time with his family on their ranch.
