a week agoOnly gave one star because it's required in order to post this review. My PCP referred me to Dr. Musa and provided an order to review labs and set a POA to address my PCP's concern. The order was sent 10/10/24. No one from the office called me to schedule an appointment upon receiving the order. I waited up to the day of my follow up w/ my PCP to inform his MA that Dr. Musas' office had not reached out the schedule an appointment for me. The MA at my PCP's office had to reach out to them multiple times to schedule. The next day Dr. Musa's office called and asked for me to come in within the hour. I explained that would not be possible as I'd just arrived to my office. That although I was requesting to be scheduled, I also have a schedule that doesn't stop on the drop of a dime. I then received a scheduled date of 10/31/24 and time 3pm to see Dr. Musa. Upon arriving I was greeted and seated. Once I was brought to the back for TPR's and weigh in, the young lady began to consistently cough, standing right next to me. I asked if there were any masks available. She then went into the supply room, (which is next to the scale) retrieved a mask and handed it to me. I politely expressed to her that the mask was for her. She stated to me that she wasn't sick. I informed her that as a patient, we would not know whether or not she is sick, it's just a precautionary measure. She looked and me and just walked away. I stepped onto the scale, and had to tell the next MA what my weight was. As no one was there to to take the reading. In essence I could have told them any weight I chose to provide. Which can ultimately affect the manner in which I'm treated by the Doctor, my PCP and any other entity that may be involved with my care (POA ie: meds and such). This was strike #1 for me, the scheduling issue made me smh, but I still left room for them to grow with me. I then began to read the reviews after being placed in the exam room. Hoping it was possibly happenstance. Upon strike # 2 listed below, I should have declined services prior to the consultation (after reading the past year of reviews). Strike #2: When I was brought into an exam room the MA entered. Firstly, she did NOT introduce herself but did state the purpose of her being there. Having someone read your name on a employee badge assumes that person/patient can read. But what if they can't read??? She then addressed me as "Sweetie". I informed that is NOT my name. She continued multiple times thereafter calling me "Sweetie". Even after I asked her to address me by my given name the very FIRST time she addressed me as "Sweetie". I'm aware that my first name is unique and sometimes difficult to pronounce. However, it is an Arabic/Muslim name, which I'm sure can be pronounced by the staff, given the obvious. She did not wash her hands, sanitize or glove up prior to attempting to take my vitals. When asked, she hesitated as if it was an unusual request or simply not generally practiced. At what point did the process change in attempting to keep bacteria, germs and floating viruses at minimal levels has NOT become a concern at a Doctor's Office??? We are in a new era of COVID variants, cold and flu season. At that point I was completely over it. No one gets a strike #3 with me. Lastly, when I entered Dr. Musa's consultation office, I expressed to him the concerns I had with regard to my initial observation(s) of his Team. He looked me dead in my face and said I'm sorry about that and went straight into conutation. He never asked if I would be willing to continue with his services, although I'd given him the opportunity to do so by informing him of the experience(s). I ask alot of questions when it comes to the POA for my care. I'm an excellent historian with regard to my medical history. As Dr. Musa was explaining the lab results, I was asking questions for clarification and comprehension purposes. Being mindful to wait to ask the question(s) or pose a concern(s) when he paused in between, going from one lab to another. This didn't pan out too well for either of us.

a month agoHe would not return phone calls. My husband's life was on the line and he wouldn't call me. He diagnosed him with lymphoma, then decided to wait 3 1/2 weeks to begin chemo, which was too long to wait. He wanted him to take blood thinner again, despite him having a major internal bleed to it when he did just a month before. He said chemo would cause blood clots, chemo that he wasn't even getting yet. My husband was told not to worry, it was only half dose. It was no surprise that it caused internal bleeding AGAIN. If this was the last oncologist on the face of the earth, I wouldn't go to him. My husband's life mattered, but not to him. It's a shame I had to give 1 star. I wanted to give zero. The office called looking for my husband the day I was going to bury him. They didn't even know their own patient passed away. I never even got so much as a sympathy card from the office, not that I ever wanted one from him.

a month agoWouldn't take a dead dying rat to this man. No doubt he's knowledgeable but his greed overwhelms him. Will push and push to have you have your treatments at his office where you sit in one big room instead of going to a hospital. Once you go to a hospital for your treatment, you can expect him not to give you the time of day. Many important appointments were canceled. Pushing things off basically a week or two later. Not something you want to deal with when you have aggressive cancer. Is never prepared for the test that you had done just prior. Within the same week of your appointment. You have to tell him to look things up. He will quickly give it a once over while you're at the appointment and if you don't point things out within the findings he probably won't see them. Actually said he reached out to a radiation oncologist regarding findings on an MRI in which he never did and finally admitted he did not. But had an excuse that the physician was on vacation anyway so.... Don't believe the stories. There is no team that is coordinating your healthcare if you stay with this physician. Get yourself to a prominent Cancer center. I'm a caregiver

3 weeks agoI was referred to Dr. Musa by my primary care doctor for iron infusions due to low iron levels. Before going, I had seen some negative reviews about this office, but I assumed a straightforward procedure wouldnโt be an issue. I was wrong. After a week of back-and-forth with the office insisting they hadnโt received my referral, I finally secured an appointment. When I arrived, I had to wait over an hour just to get into a room. After doing my blood work to check my iron levels, I was told I would receive a call to schedule the iron infusion. A week and a half passed with no call, so I had to reach out myself. After 30 minutes on hold, I spoke with Evana, who had a very poor attitude and said she would message the doctor and call me back. That call never came. When I followed up again, I spent another 30 minutes on hold and spoke with Evana once more. She dismissed me again, claiming sheโd message the doctor, clearly just to end the call. This has been the worst experience Iโve ever had at a doctorโs office. The level of unprofessionalism is astounding, and the front desk staff seem completely uninterested in doing their jobs. I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere for care.โ

3 months agoThe staff is unexperienced. The doctor comes in when he gets ready and they keep pushing my appointment back and Iโm a truck driver. Itโs hard to get into a doctors facility because you have to take the time and schedule a month in advance and this is the second time they want to reschedule my appointment with no sympathy and no cause. They are fired and the doctor referred me to them Fired. Done getting a whole new team.
