Large, well-stocked, diverse, massive 24/7 supermarket. They're open 24/7 and offer free outdoor parking, plus indoor parking before 9 pm. The aisles are brightly-lit and overflowing with a cornucopia of goods from numerous countries and cultures. You can likely find obscure cultural foods here, perhaps for a pretty penny, and plenty of fresh produce. They do not have many organic or gourmet products, but that's ok.
Food Bazaar provides great value, especially for finding last minute ingredients to add to a special heritage cultural dish.
**** OTC and Food Stamps/SNAP accepted! ****
Prices are hit or miss. You can score great deals on SOME but not all products. For ex, Stok coffee โ is more expensive here than at CVS where it's often discounted; Lactaid milk ๐ผ ๐ is far more expensive here than at Target; but their eggs ๐ฅ are a pretty good deal with a long shelf-life.
Looking for Korean ๐ฐ๐ท ๐ฐ๐ต fixings like authentic kimchi, sweet rice, jarred sauces, and tiny seafood products in ready-to-eat containers? It's there.
Searching for Dominican ๐ฉ๐ด white cheese for frying and some raspberry or merengue soda, Colombian ๐จ๐ด arepas and white cheese for buรฑuelos, Mexican ๐ฒ๐ฝ Cotija cheese blocks and tortillas, or Salvadoran ๐ธ๐ป crema and pupusas, Venezuelan PAN flour and white cheese for tequeรฑos? There.
Japanese ๐ฏ๐ต mochi, noodles and broth for homemade Ramen? There.
**** Lactose-intolerants rejoice! They have refrigerated Lactaid milk, Lactaid cottage cheese, and several lactose-free brands and products.****
Just about anything you can think of is there. I believe there is a section with African foods but have not searched for anything yet. I will soon though!
******* TIP ---- There are a lot of expired products on shelves, like the $4.99 cheeses that expired yesterday April 8, 2024 (this was written 4/9/2024). Inspect ALL EXPIRATION DATES and product quality before purchase. It's nearly IMPOSSIBLE TO RETURN anything. *********
How does this store have 5 stars? I feel bad for the people who shop here and donโt realize that theyโre being exploited by massively inflated prices. Check out these photos: $7.19 for a 15 oz mini-tub of margarine? $3.99 for a 6.8 oz can of Pringles? Supermarkets should maintain 40-50% margins on COGS. Not 80%. Go somewhere else and teach these greedy goons that exploitation of the working / middle class wonโt be tolerated.
If you are in the Queens area and need to go food shopping to a supermarket that is extremely diverse you can definitely shop here. As a previous instacart shopper I can say that I have pretty much visited every supermarket in Queens and this Food Bazaar is the most complete market you would find.
Their selection of fruits, vegetables, legumes, traditional groceries, deli, bakery, butcher shop, produce along with many international items is massive, they offer free indoor & outdoor parking and they are open 24 hours.
Quality is a priority for me and my family and they do offer the best.
If you become a loyal member and download their app you can accumulate points (earn 100 points on every $1 spent) which you can later turn into $ discounts when you shop.
They also have a small food court inside the market in case you need to grab a coffee or a bite before or after shopping.
Large location with a lot of options that a big supermarket this size should have. Their selection of meats and vegetables are especially sprawling. Itโs also a good place to find some Spanish and Asian specialty items.
The reason this is four stars instead of five is because frankly pricing could be MUCH more competitive. For a supermarket located in Long Island city, prices should not be on par with those of a central Manhattan supermarket. I actually found prices of some things to be even higher. This is especially true with general items and vegetables.
Good market but prices could be better.
I always shop from foodpazar and many of workers are helpful and polite. Thereโs a restroom and pizza place and Dunkin too I love these most of Hispanic people and Bangali people. Thereโs a man whoโs name is Herdem which we call Haram just stay away from him thatโs enough
