Dr. Ghada Al-Asadi, MD is a psychiatry specialist in Glendora, CA and has been practicing for 43 years. She graduated from University Of Cairo, Faculty Of Medicine in 1976 and specializes in psychiatry.
My daughter is Dr. Al-Asadi's patient. She likes her doctor but she and I feel her staff lacks communication and organizational skills. Due to my daughter's demanding job, she was unable to call and request her medication refill. As a favor I called. Today is the 4th day without medication and the pharmacy and I have been caling with no response from the doctor's staff. Although my daughter is an adult, it's very hard for me as her mother to see her in such an emotional state. She needs her medication.
This person had me wrongfully committed to Aurora Behavioral Center in Covina. She coerced my father into admitting me under the false claim that my situation was so dire that I needed to undergo in patient therapy.
He was never advised of his rights as a parent and I was mistreated within the facility. I was strip searched (as a 17 year old) and touched inappropriately by a nurse while being admitted. This was the worst week of my life. A trauma that after 2 years I am still suffering from anxiety/panic attacks at the thought of being returned to that place.
The real reason I was committed was because Al-Asadi benefits financially from patients in the hospital. After 2 days, the psychologist assigned to me told me he did not know why I was still there. He told me I should be an outpatient. I was there 3 more days because Al-Asadi, who I hadn't seen until day 4, declared that I was not okay to go home. This was all due to financial gain for her. Patients do not matter. All she cares about is the money.
Very unprofessional including entire staff. Always running late, rude attitude, on their phones instead of helping patients. Very difficult to work with. Found new doctor and I have seen an astronomical difference!
