Gus M. Shihab is the eldest of eight children born to his parents; as such, he has played a leadership role virtually all his life. Mr. Shihab arrived in the United States on July 10, 1979 as an F-1 student. He graduated from The Ohio State University in 1983 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Afterwards, Gus M. Shihab worked as a construction engineer for an international contractor in Kuwait City. Mr. Shihab returned to the U.S. in 1985 where he joined the Ohio Department of Transportation and in a short time, he became the Chairman of the Highway Safety Program Committee and the State Director of the Ohio Highway Safety System. He is a licensed professional engineer – a fact that gives him an advantage when representing clients in highly technical matters.
Mr. Shihab has been interviewed numerous times by local and international newspapers, radio, and television media including the British Broadcasting Corporation and National Public Radio. He was invited as a speaker at numerous organizations including the Ohio State University, the Ohio Chapter for the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Columbus Bar Association, and the Cleveland Bar Association. He has also been a speaker at several continuing legal and engineering educational seminars.

9 months agoI have found the Law firm of Shihab & Associates to be one of the most professional, up to-date and efficient regarding immigration matters. They knew exactly how to represent my brotherโs case. Everyone from the reception desk to the legal advisor was quite courteous and worked hard to ensure that all of my concerns were satisfied. I would not have been satisfied with anyone but them with my brothers recent immigration case. 9 months agoThis is my second review in my life and I am not one for writing reviews online unless one is very deserving and has profound merit. FYI- My last review garnered over 5000 likes in less then 3 months. I shopped around for a reputable lawyer for months until Shihab & associates kept popping up on my screen. This establishment deserves an excellent review and they have proven to me that they are very skillful in their trade. All my dealings were done over the phone, I didn't even get to meet GUS or Nicholas in person, but their approach to the case was spot on. Shihab & Associates are very professional group of immigration fighters, they developed the right strategy and executed it very well. After GOD, I thank Shihab & associates, GUS and Nicholas, for handling my case and help me achieve results as I desired.
