The Ghossain family emigrated from Lebanon to the United States in 1954. Joseph Ghossain came to Youngstown with his wife and four children. He dreamed of a better life, working long and hard in the restaurant business to accumulate enough money to invest in his and his familyโs future.
In 1970, Joseph along with his two sons started Ghossainโs Mid East Bakery in a neighborhood garage with a mere $1000 investment. The company quickly gained a reputation for baking the finest pita and flat breads around, with an appealing texture and delicious flavor that pleased even the most discriminating of connoisseurs.
In 1992 and again in 2004, Ghossainโs Bakery undertook significant expansion opportunities in an effort to accommodate the companyโs continuously growing product base and its customersโ needs. Ghossainโs Bakery distributes its products to restaurants and grocery chains across the country, and also sends personalized packages of breads, stuffed pockets, pastries and imported foods to the doorsteps of our valued customers.
Today, Ghossainโs is still a family-run operation and is continuously striving to become the premier bakery of the Middle Eastern bread industry. With almost 45 years of baking experience, we are proud to produce quality products at affordable prices.
The Ghossain family welcomes you to try our products. If youโre already one of our valued customers, Thank You! You can rest assured that we will continue to serve the market with unique and delicious products.

a week agoI just came to this location for the 1st time at the behest of my employees, and transparently i did not have a great service experience. I can let go not being greeted when i walked in. Or waiting at the counter while there were no current customers waiting to be serviced. After standing at the counter awaiting service, i was finally asked how i could be helped. The woman behind the counter was not particularly friendly, at all. I almost felt like I was interrupting her by coming in to make a purchase. However, I asked for the spicy quinoa salad, , and purchased the multigrain crackers. However, when I got back to work, I saw I was given a summer salad instead of the spicy quinoa. I called the establishment in Niles and told the associate about the error in my item, and there was absolutely no apology, nor concern or regard for me, not getting the item that I paid for. I was told โif I wanted to bring it back to get what I asked for I couldโ. I said yes, because I wanted what I paid for. even though I had to leave work for a second time to make the exchange.I was told over the phone that she was not going to be able to take back what she gave me, however, when I came back to make the exchange, she did take the summer salad. I hope it was not placed back out for customer consumption. As a new customer, this level of nonchalant customer service is not only disheartening but itโs unacceptable. Unfortunately, I will not be going back to the Niles location.

3 years agoHands down THE BEST takeout salad I have ever had. I had door dash deliver lunch to my business. I ordered the Supersized Junk Salad with chicken and blue cheese. Despite the blue cheese dressing being from a bottle, this was a GOOD salad. If they made the blue cheese dressing from scratch, I think I would be almost speechless with delight!

11 months agoAlways love the delicious food at Ghossain's. Purchased our traditional food trays for Christmas Eve gathering. Love the kibbee and grape leaves. We added the hummus tray this year. Excellent. The three trays cost $140 total. Plenty to serve 15 people with leftovers afterward. Good value. Highly recommend Ghossain's.
