Henry Ford Emergency Medicine – Fairlane

I recently found out this place was here and I'm so thankful for it. The whole staff has been wonderful. I really like this emergency because they do take the highest priority first. The ER Waiting room is not chaotic and full. I highly recommend coming here. I know if I need an emergency room again it'll be here. This place is peaceful and the staff actually like their jobs. You can tell. Due to my injury the Dr and nurses didn't hesitate to start x-rays, ultrasound, etc. I felt like they were honestly concerned about me. Everyone was very attentive and kind and helpful.

Talk about being embarrassed and out In the open for everyone to see my business. I’ve been battling a terrible UTI and after failing to heal myself I reluctantly went to the closest er to my home . Ofcourse it’s packed with sick people due to COVID and flu season but I had no choice but to wait . I was called to the back to get my vitals taken, and I asked the tech if I could go ahead and give a urine sample now because of course with the UTI you have not only have urgency but frequency… tech handed me a cup and told me to go ahead and bring it back to the door when I was done. When I got to the door, another rep came and told me that I had to hold it and sit in the waiting room confused I said sit in the waiting room with a urine sample in a cup full of urine??. She asked the rep that gave me the cup and he said hold onto it in the waiting area because There is nowhere for us to put it back here? You gotta be kidding me? This is a hospital with a lab right? Defeated, I walked back to the chair and felt like everyone was no staring at the girl with the pee cup! If I wasn’t in pain I’d leave because privacy in this place is non existent

I hate to write this because the woman at the front desk and the nurses were kind and caring. However, if you come to the ER here don’t expect to be properly treated. During the brief five minutes the doctor spent with me, she seemed genuinely confused as to why someone experiencing chest pain would be crying. After implying there was nothing she could do for me I left and went somewhere else for help. If you're a young woman with chest pain that doesn't fit the demographic they typically treat, I highly recommend going to a better hospital instead of this one

If I could give 0 stars I would. I visited Henry ford fairlane emergency room back in February 2024. Now I’m getting calls from creditors saying that I owe a bill because the people who had one job to do billed my old insurance company instead of the new one and I get to talk to a million people and not one of the has had a resolution!!!! I don’t have time in between seeing patients and trying to do my job to keep calling someone who hasn’t a clue how to help me. Then I call someone whose system is always down!!! Very frustrating and very annoying!!!! I’m definitely going elsewhere when I have an emergency.

I’m a heart patient complaining of left hand being numb and feeling weak yet I been in the room for 1 and half no nurse or doctor or test or blood work
