Overview
With an aim of providing a place of worship along with Islamic School and Dawa project, Hijaz Foundation of America, Inc was established by Prof. Dr. Ghulam Zarquani in Houston, TX USA on Sep 4, 1998. At the beginning, 4000 sq area was leased in a shopping strip at the intersection of Dairy Ashford & Alief clodine for three years. Meanwhile the whole shopping center was bought by the City of Houston for an expansion project of West park Tall way and we had no choice but to vacate it. Then we leased another location at Alief clodine & Hwy 6 south for another two years. In the mean time we were searching a land for our future project. Alhamdulillah, a 6.8 Acre land at 15001 Beechnut St was bought in 2006. A Mobile building was placed in this location and we moved to it. In 2008, A 6000 Sq building was constructed, which consists on a big hall for male prayer area, a hall for female prayer and a giant library with few offices. In 2010, Hijaz Academy, an Islamic school with following Texas curriculum has been started. Alhamdulillh, since then, a new class has been added in it every year. Now, we have Pre-School, Pre K, kindergarten, First Grade and Second Grade. In order to keep improving the standard of education and adding a class every year, we desperately need new comfortable building as soon as possible, as there is no room in the existing mobile facility

2 years agoThis is by far the best school. My daughters teacher is Ms Amani and she has only been going for 3-4 months, she has learnt so much me and her father are so proud of her, everyday she comes home she has learnt something new. I was only planning to take her to Hijaz academy for a year and now we have decided to keep her here as we have seen nothing but good things here. Ms Amani has made sure my daughter is up to date with the her other class mates and always keeps me updated with everything she is the best!

7 years agoThis school is AMAZING. I went to the Open House in August, not prepared to enroll my 4 year old into Pre-K. After seeing what they offered for the children, I was convinced it would be a great opportunity for my daughter. The school is very professional, the teachers are highly qualified, and care for each student. Science fair, Qur'an Competitions, Field Trips, Fundraisers, Eid Al-Adha performance, I am VERY satisfied with what Hijaz has offered our daughter academically and religiously.
