a year agoHad a worst experience with the billing department. Went for yearly wellness visit with Dr Mohammad Jamil the visit will be covered as part of insurance. But the billing department submitted the claim as sick visit and I am suppose to pay the bill now. Trying to reach the billing department for past two weeks the call automatically cancels as line is busy. selected the appointment option to connect with billing department they said their office is moving so try later. Are you guys seriously moving the office and telephone line for past 2-3 wks????? Same billing problem for one of my friend. He is also waiting for the correction. Looks like the billings are done intentionally not by mistake! Be careful and review your bills with insurance company.

7 months agoDidnโt even bother to finish listening to my entire story and progression of symptoms. His phone went off multiple times and he literally was texting while I was talking. Rushed me out and told me had another patient. Simply doesnโt care.

2 years agoShamed me for being on too much medication and for being overweight. He decided that he knew me better in 5 minutes than a psychiatrist Iโve been seeing for years. He said to me that he had a patient who had attempted suicide and then said something to the effect of โyours is not that bad right?โ I have had mental health for over half my life now, complicated by other health issues. I have struggled in that area quite a bit, but was so dumbfounded by the sheer audacity that I just nodded and smiled as not to cry. I agreed to talk about changing meds with my doctor even though they are working! I didnโt know how else to react at the time. This was an appointment to establish care. I was prescribed one medication by this doctor which has an interaction with medication I am taking. Patients shouldnโt be forced to double check doctors work. He said these meds will cause me problems in the future, and I know that, but functioning like a normal person in the present is quality of life I wouldnโt have without. Quality is better than quantity to me. I just canโt wrap my head around why someone would think I would be $100 month on medication if it wasnโt completely necessary. I could write a ten mile long list of all the things I would rather spend my money on. I have an even longer list of what I would give to cure the ailment which I am on the medication for. He also insinuated that I have pain solely because I am overweight. Also no physical exam was done aside from moving my arm thatโs been having issues for months. To sum things up, if you want compassion, good bedside manner, look elsewhere.

10 years agoWe stumbled upon Dr. Jamil as an urgent care patient in 2005. We were so happy with him, we have been with him since then. I love that he is also a hospital doctor. When I was a patient at Boswell, he saw me there also. Loved that. He is patient, never in a hurry and the front office is great about getting you in as soon as possible. Love this place.
