The Imam Mahdi Association of Marjaeya (I.M.A.M.), Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization that serves as the liaison office of the Supreme Religious Authority, Ayatullah Sayyid Ali al-Sistani, in North America. We are devoted to building a strong Shia community in North America by serving as the central point of contact between the religious authority and the centers, organizations, and faithful believers. We are passionately dedicated to the advancement of the Muslim communities in North America – whether it be in the religious, spiritual, educational or social realms.
Our Mission
To serve the advancement of Muslims in North America through the direction of the Supreme Religious Authority (Marjaeya) in implementing the teachings of Almighty God, the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) and his Holy Progeny (peace be upon them).

To cultivate a vibrant, collaborative, and supportive Muslim community of strong faith and good citizenry that forms a building block in North American society.

a month agoMy favorite place to study in all of Dearborn. Itโs quiet, clean, well maintained and has a great variety of Islamic books to checkout for free. The staff of the office is very friendly and welcoming, making it a comfortable place to study and work in a respectful and Islamic environment.

a month agoHeroes of Karbala is a great educational program that guide children to focus on the stories of Karbalaโs courageous heroes. My kids loved attending this program! They had great time making new friends, doing hands-on activities, and participating in the Madeef. My kids were also looking forward to see which visitor are they going to meet the next day. As a parent, I felt it was a very safe place for my kids. Very organized and professional staff/volunteers. This program exceeded my expectations! I canโt wait for my kids to attend more programs, here at I.M.A.M, in the future. Thank you so much for everything and ma2jourin inshallah ๐คฒ๐ผโค๏ธ

a month agoReview of Heroes of Karbala: Heroes of Karbala at IMAM exceeded all expectations in caring for the children. From the moment of drop off it was clear they were dedicated to providing an exceptional program. They went above and beyond, not only ensuring the children's safety and comfort but also enriching their understanding of Ashura with thoughtful teachings. The program was beautifully organized, with engaging activities that kept the children's interest. Moreover, the provision of lunch and snacks throughout the day was a huge plus. The staff demonstrated genuine care and enthusiasm, making the experience both educational and enjoyable for the children. As a parent, I felt confident leaving my kids in their hands and was impressed by their professionalism and dedication. I highly recommend Heroes of Karbala for their outstanding service and enriching educational experience.

2 months agoAmazing people. Jihad and Haifa are dedicated and compassionate individuals who will go above and beyond to make visitors feel welcome. The library is a fantastic resource for children, and Shaykh Halabi's speeches on Thursday nights are inspirational and articulate.
