Ishtar Restaurant

We had a table for 8 people on Saturday evening. It was packed and very noisy with music. They served complementary soup which was good. We ordered Hummus for starting which was above average. Then we ordered family platter with mixed kebeb which had different type of chicken and lambs kebab. Not that mind blowing but kinda good and average. They served foods quickly. Hands down one of the best Middle Eastern food I’ve had in my life, and this is coming from someone who has Middle Eastern roots. The food is just delicious, and worth the money too! I have done my wedding dinner here and take almost everyone who visits me for a dinner to Ishtar and they’re also not disappointed. Get yourself a family combo and you’ll not regret it, and definitely try Lentil Soup!

We came from Toronto & found this hidden gem Serves traditional Iraqi food We loved it ! Very nice people we came late and they still served us. The tea service at the end was amazing. Will recommend to others

Located in a mini-mall full of Arabic-owned fairs, this restaurant is one of the more authentic Middle Eastern eateries in Metro-Detroit. Great, old world flavors, & ambience. Delicious tikka!

First off the food is rediculously delicious, let’s get that straight. But it’s the service at Ishtar that is the most important reason to dine there. We came in on a super busy Night and they got us right in for timely fresh food. Our waiter, Marvin made the night. He knew his menu impeccably.
